I love Tuesday mornings - dh is at work from 8 so he and the icklies are out of here by 7.20am and I have the house to myself woohoo. Am in pj's having a leisurely brekky, catching up on news and making sure I actually finish my morning brew - bliss.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Ionly use Mr T for my store cupboard shop and onlly that. We sadly don't have any local shops and they are our nearest supermarket. But agree that their pricing leaves a lot to be desired. In the past their 4 pack of beans was dearer by about 20p than buying 4 individual tins. The 180 tea bags was considerably dearer than buying 2x80's. Maths is my big boegy but soon got to grips with that with the aid of a calculator.
Day off today, so weekly housework blitz ,some cooking and hopefully get two cushions finished. Oh and try to get two loads of washing dry before more down pours:eek:
Have a good day all.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Morning Matrix,
Positive vibes to everyone who needs them; especially Cheery and TMIF. Hope you both feel better soon!
Great news re your boys yesterday MG - it sounded like a really memorable day! Not to mention a little bit cool!!
Had an okay day from my side but was utterly exhausted when I got home last night. Unfortunately I have a list as long as I am tall of things I want to get done before I head off to holiday. Not good. I am going to ask my boss if I can have this afternoon off... I think I will only need a few hours to kick the place into shape, and I would like to have a clean and lovely house to come back to after our holiday. Am I completely insane?!
I have one meeting this morning... but otherwise, it is pretty free and clear for me today. Hope my boss says I can have the afternoon off!! I am about to ask her!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Woohooo!!!
Was sitting snuggled up with DS2 n the sofa this morning - aren't morning cuddles just the best??? when I had a sudden light bulb moment about a current goal setting challenge I am having.
Cue a frantic scrambling for the laptop when he jumped down to have his breakfast, a million-miles an hour typing session and a beedle across to the blog to replace what I though was today's post with this one instead.
All inspired by cuddling one very warm, very sleeping little toddler.
So now that I have started the day in good stead - I'm off to continue in the same vein.

Financial overhaul again I'm afraid - time for "auld claes and parridge" till figure out how to get myslef on an even keel again.
Wish me luck

Big positive vibes for Cheery this morning xx
Re Mr T - used to shop there all the time (considered myself a T Value expert!) but now, especially after watching some of the progs like Fish Fight and the value chicken one, only go in there if absolutely desperate.
Got application form finished, just a few final tweaks to do and it's due in tomorrow. Had what can only be described as a bad day at work yesterday, got home with splitting headache, but managed to shake it off enough to write most of my essay that's due in on Friday. Bloomin' tired again today though... yawn!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Struggling a bit to get to know who is who on here so apologies for not replying to posts in total
Really feel that I am starting to get to grips with this. Doing well with my frogs, feel less pressurized and am starting to think about tackling the big jobs and pondering my future. Thanks to all for the inspiration of this thread; I can see me being here for sometime.
No need to apologise Dk, the thread moves far too quickly to respond to everyone in turn. I just pick up on things that jump out at me.
Totally agree about the inspiration on here, it just carries you with it - don't know what you have started here MG but it sure does work.
Well today's plan was to sand a table and chair but all change. Ds wants to go visit a farm which is an hour and a half away by bus and walking. Fingers crossed the weather is kind to us.
Thinking of Cheery, hope you get the afternoon off Crickett. Have a good day all, Thriftyxxx0 -
Thanks folks. Very dull appointment in the end - got to start taking another lot of tablets for a while, and I'll receive a couple of appointment letters in the post. Not entirely sure what the point of trekking down to the hospital was! Already had my blood test results on the computer, and I have to collect my own prescription from the docs anyway, could have just stayed at home!
Squizz - get that form in! :T0
