Hi all, Bitsy sorry to hear that about your wee lad. He has a great support in you though hon and never forget that.
Fantasia my Dad wouldn't be up for traveling anywhere but Mum has been to visit me and my sis lots of places by herself. Would a chat along the lines of 'I know you wont be up for a week in X but I really fancy it so me and SOUK are going' work?!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Honestly though hon you're never too old to enjoy life and no one is ecstatic all the time, even me.
Work not so busy as I thought today. Went to an aerobics class tonight and had a lovley tea. My friend came in to the shop today and invited me to stay with her tomorrow night. Shes the one with the wee lad Im really fond of and shes on the same diet as me so we can have nice healthy food and chat and then her hubby is taking us up to Stirling for the hen night on Saturday night. We're poledancing in the afternoon  and then out for a bevvy. Havent seen a lot of these girls since I graduated 11 years ago :eek: so it should be fun but could be a bit messy!!!
Willow ace news on your meeting, Im sure you'll get loads out of it.

Bitsy big hugs, I hope tomorrow is a better day.
I'm really tired now after a busy day so heading up to bed in a minute. I need to aim for a bit more me maintenance time - nails, feet, skin all shocking after too much gardening the last few months and very little care. I'm always planning on doing it tomorrow. For now though I fancy a few pages of my book more than a nail file. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dustykitten wrote: »?how do you know if you have clothes moths? Do you see them? Would they make holes in all clothes or just wool? Cant decide if the holes are because the clothes have been worn to death or are being eaten:rotfl::eek:
If you do think you have them you need to:
Wash, freeze or dry clean clothes nd soft furnishings, including curtains, cushions and pillows.
Hoover everywhere, including mattresses and upholstery
Treat carpets (if made of natural fibres) and wardrobe with Doom
Keep wool and especially cashmere in sealed bags - do not put them away dirty. If you have a camphor wood chest, keep anything precious in there.
Get pheromone traps and check regularly for signs of life.
Moths only eat dirty clothes, so once things have been worn, don't put them back in drawers or wardrobes. Either keep on a bedroom chair or hook overnight and wear again, or put them in the laundry basket.
Empty laundry baskets and do washing regularly.
Well done Crickett. And congrats to fantasia on the not smoking If you go to hong kong I have some unused currency....
I'm afraid my tired little brain has forgotten who else I wanted to say what to...0 -
Ging to call today a "Power Day" - one of those days when you hoover up all the bits and pieces that are beginning to annoy you.
So one load is out- one in the washing machine and I am compiling a Mind Map list of things I just want done and dusted.
Have a feeling that change is in the air - and I don't know why??
Off to clean the bathroom

Morning matrix. Another busy day ahead of me. No meetings, just lots of work and then my Counselling meeting this afternoon. Have had to load up my Sat Nav to try and get to the place, and the sat nav does not seem to recognise all kinds of places. Grrr. So I shall print Google Maps off as well, just to make sure I can get there. After the appointment I will be driving home and then doing work at home to make up time.
After that, it is time for some serious cleaning chez Rickett. The place has got a tiny bit out of control since I have been off my best, and I want it back to its usual state. Oh, and I have an ironing pile that looks like Kilamanjaro!! On the up side... dinner tonight is homemade pizza! Can hardly wait!!
I am afraid I didn't do the stairs this morning, because my hips and knees are killing me from doing it yesterday. I am going to conquer the stairs mountain on Monday again though.

Me again.
Well, I am installed on the sofa.... but I have work to do as well, but at least it's more comfy here than in the sweaty sticky office...

Got an email this morning that said:

And when someone breaks our wings,
we simply continue to fly....on a broomstick.
We are flexible like that
Thought of you lot0 -
I like that, Cheery :j :j :j
Hugs to all those that need them, and I've copied the advice on moths, *and* taken note of a power day, with change in the air :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Well it's a grey day here, the mist is down and the rain is on it's way - that'll be good news for my little seedlings :T.
Having a slow start to the day as I'm a wee bit tired - today's agenda includes taking dd's gsce text books into school and starting to strip the paint from three large shelves that are bright canary yellow, deep green and dark blue in colour .
Word of advice to those of you with little 'uns - don't get all creative and arty painting all their woodwork bright primary colours (like I did) 'cos 10-15 years later you are going to have to strip it all back to turn it into colours that you can live with.
Best get to it, have a good 'un folks.0
