Basically means karmacat, if I mention I want to do something or try to discuss it he will listen and comment. If its something he does not want to do like going abroad, he just says he isnt interested in doing it, and thats the end of the subject, if I try and open up the discussion again, he will not compromise. So need to look for other ways round it.0

Easy peasey solution to this fantasia - where are we going???
I can promise him we will send him and the kids postcards:rotfl: Honest!!!:D I could really do with a wee "Shirley Valentine" moment:p
In the spirit of nurturing myself - because the kids are on an "adventure" with Grandma and her 74 yr young pal today (I sense lots of sweeties and ice-cream will have been consumed, some of it even by the kids) I have been off and got my hair cut and even found a bra that makes my heart sing (I'm still a FF cup and thats not easy to find on the high street)
Just waiting for the kettle to boil at Mums - not expecting them home any time soon so jumped on her computer (so this is what it feels like to have a keyboard that spells correctly????)
Kettles done - back soon

Its literally that lemon squeezy. now I really want to do it. Tuscany, Thailand, Nepal, Alaska, Hong Kong, the world is getting smaller all the time. My sister (actress one) backpacked round Oz 4 years ago. She did it all and left her boyfriend at home. SHe's got 2 kids now lol and keeps getting wistful about the evenings we used to spend on the Thames at Richmond, or similar things. She thinks she's old at 35 lol. Get a grip girly.
I've got a life and I just want to something, anything sooner rather than later.0 -
I've just had a call back from The Princes Trust as I heard they do small grants for various things or so it says on the website. Turns out they just do low interest loans around where I live and I've got to go for a meeting next Wednesday to see if I can get one. It's in Rugeley so immediately I had negative voices in my head saying "I can't get there, I can't do it." Hm....I'm still in two minds whether to go to this meeting next Wednesday. There will be a small group of us which is immediately greeted by "YOU HATE TALKING TO STRANGERS! YOU CAN'T DO IT!" in my head... I am probably making a fuss about nothing but I'm really terrified.
OK, fear is valid emotion. Its stepping out of your comfort zone. But think this way.....all those other people who are going are in all likelihood nervous too. Do you think when Richard Branson started out he wasn't nervous. Pound to a penny he was but the difference was he went and did it anyway. I was bricking it joining an adult tap class a year ago. I would have LOVED a friend to come with me but no one else knew enough tap. So do I put my life on hold because I was nervous or do I just suck it up and try it. You've got nothing to lose and so much to gain.
Here endeth the [STRIKE]lecture[/STRIKE] lesson
And if anyone is going travelling with Fantasia it's MEEEEEEE! Even if it's as official bag carrier.
Feeling pants, had a little cry. Sometimes being a parent sucks and makes your heart break a littleI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Fantasia - looks like you'll be inundated with travelling companions
Looking at your list I fancy Nepal and Hong Kong - but I am not picky, anywhere would do.

Have only had time to skim through posts tonight so hugs to anyone needing them and yay to anyone who is having a good old day.
6 more schooly days to go then 5 and 1/2 weeks of being a full time mum (my posts will get gradually more and more stressy over summer as I look forward to the normal insanity of the classroom rather than my two darlings:p)
Am a bit grrr today as after all the roof issues my car radio aerial has now been pinched, and so has this mornings milk - we rang the dairy and checked. So had to go out and get milk early as only enough for one brew and no cereal. Am ready to strangle anyone coming within a metre of the house now - but is ok cos will do it in a very positive way:rotfl:Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Just a pants day ASD wise. Am sad about how to try and explain to my wee boy why someone doesn't want to play with him because he shouts alot and repeats himself. It's heartbreaking to watch him deal with rejection and for something he doesn't understand. Ho hum normal service will resume tomorrow.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

:hello: from a field in Norfolk. We're down in this neck of the woods for five weeks and internet connection via the dongle is decidedly dodgy.
Everything else is great and we are loving it - it's 29 years since we had a holiday here - they do say time flies when you are having fun. :rotfl:
We've just watched the most fantastic sunset in this lovely big sky country. Just posting to send Fantasia big hugs. My dad was like her OH and my mum got really crafty in the way she approached things - she said it was brainwashing him till he thought it was his idea.
It does sound as if you might have a new career lined up as Matrix Tour Organiser. There seem to be plenty of offers to go with you.
I do know what you mean about always being a smoker - that's how I am and I know that 'just one puff' would be the slippery slope.
Hugs to every one else who needs them.
Claire, you brought a lump to my throat. ((((Claire))))But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0
