Claire sorry to see Jack isn't doing so well. Unfortunately I feel our sadness is our price to pay for loving, be it human or animal. I hope jack isn't suffering and hugs for you and your family xxxxx

EE - Hugs for you and positive vibes for your kitty xxx

Claire, I really do understand how hard it is for you but you are making the right decision. I truly believe that you know when the time is right. I hope that Jack is ok. Enjoy his last night (if it be the case) and give him lots of hugs. He will let you know that it is ok to say goodbye.

EE, wishing your little cat lots of luck for the op tomorrow. Like you cost I believe cost is irrelevant when it comes to our pets. I really like the sound of the sponsorship and what a great idea you had there. If we were to sponsor a group as a group would we be able to directly interact with them? I am thinking writing, sharing ideas etc. Who knows we might even be able to organise a visit out there. A girl I know goes to Africa every year with a group of people. They fund their own trip but they are a charity and once out there they do building work for a school. Definitely something for us to think about but would it need to be done over the other side?

Claire and EE. ((())) I've been there so many times and for the last time in October 2010. Taking that decision for our friends is the last service we can do for them and is our ultimate responsibility when we take them into our family.

Someone sent me a link to this site and I found I was able to shed the tears I needed to let go. I have a whole cluster of dogs and cats waiting for me at The Rainbow Bridge.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

My thoughts are with you and all your pets today - a hard place to be for sure.

Claire hon - I chatted to MrF over the weekend and as soon as you are feeling up to it I will help you on the other side to pull a team together to help you get the shop blog off and rolling. But please take your time this week with Mr Jack.

EE - When MrF, the team and I first discussed what the other side would be for - (and then I had to accept that I had to stand back and let it all develop over time) I had a bullet-point list, a list of seven "wants" for us.

It is a place of acceptance and support
It is a place where we focus on hand-ups not hand-outs
It is a place of accountability and motivation
It is place to do work bigger than ourselves individually
It is a place of abundance in all senses of the word
It is a global network that challenges our thinking about boundaries (internal and real life)
It is a place that stretches our thinking

Back last year we started a small conversation about whether setting up an "action fund" to help out others ................. and well it really didn't feel like the right time.

Maybe its time we all go back and look again - because this is exactly the kind of practical project that makes my heart sing............... and now others are excited about it too.

EE - you are right, the solution is in the leverage, us all working together. Remember our battle cry "Together we can do anything!!"

What do you ladies think - its your Matrix after all?

    MG

PS Souk - two recipes for you today, actually looking out the window I may do three :rotfl:

    Lentil and Preserved lemon soup
    Lentil pate (with variations)
    Lentil and frazzled Chorizo salad

    How does that sound?
    FINALLY AND OFFICIALLY DEBT FREE
    Small Emergency Fund £500 / £500
    Pay off all Debts £10,000 / £10,000
    Grown Up Emergency Fund £6000 / £6000 :j
    Pension Provision £6688/£2376

Sorry to hear about poorly pets; hugs.

As to starting a Matrix fund you probably all remember I was pushing for it from the outset. It doesn't need to be large (although I'll expect it to grow over time) but we can do so much internally and outside the M with it. Will take some organising but I am for it.
