You know what? I am paying this person... but I am most afraid of looking like a total prat. Because I know what I should have been doing all this time, and yet, I keep making stupid choices and eating stuff that is bad for me.

Crickett, the nutritionist may be able to help find out what's causing your depression as it can be as simple as a nutrient deficiency. Also, some food intolerances can actually cause you to crave that particular food so it may not be a conscious decision that you are making when choosing foods. Your visit should be a positive experience and you will hopefully gain more from it than you expected. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

ETA forgot to say that none of these things are straight forward and don't just have one cause - healing anything involves working with mind, body and spirit!

Clare, I am sitting here right now sending vibes to Jack (4.44) I will also send blue waves of calm and tranquility thoughts to all of you. Hope that it is the right outcome whatever the decision.

Crickett, Cheery speaks wisely, as always we tend to put the Prat Hat on ourselves more than others dont we? That has pulled me up short today when I was doing a good job of putting myself down. Oceanspirit has a very good point. I was once told that a lack of certain vitamins was causing my miserable genes to kick in (well the Dr had a good way of putting it didnt he?)

Not sure that I can make it over to the other side as I have a presentation to deliver but will do my best - what time are we convening and is there a minute taker? (if I dont make it I will read the minutes)

Claire honey. I know how this feels, the waiting is agonising. I really hope that the vet thinks its ok to let Jack come home again. But please be aware that a 14 year old dog would struggle to cope with a general anaesthetic. The vet will not make a decision for your OH, he will only advise what he thinks is best for Jack. The ultimate decision is down to your hubby based on vets advice. I hope you get the outcome that is best for both jack and the family. Thinking of you.
