Oh Claire - there is nothing really I can say to make it easier. I still miss my dogs and it has been long time when they went across the rainbow bridge.
But I do believe that our pets never truly leave us and they will always have that special spot in our hearts are they here or on the other side.

Claire, I am so sorry. I was thinking about you and hoping that you are all ok. Nothing that I can say will take the grief away. I know that Jack had a fantastic life, 14 is an amazing age and you all did the right thing by him. It was the best gift that you could have given to him.
Just off to take the Moo out for his walk and then will try to jump on the other side when I get back. Its all rush todaySome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Claire, i just had to post to let you know how sorry i am to hear your news. We lost our beloved Dog in April, even now it breaks my heart every time i think of him.
Don't be afraid to grieve for Jack, pets are a big and important part of our familys and their loss can hit us just as hard as any that of any relative.
Seding hugs and strength to you and your family at this sad time
