    Summary for cheri:

Willow wants to start a dog walking business but is finding negative comments from close family members a bit of a bug bear (but she's doing it anyway - yay go Willow :T)
Claire's had a few hassles with the shop (as detailed on otherside) and feeling a bit panicky about it. Hope that's settled down a bit now xx

Marru went to court and did well to "grease the wheels" allowing XK (check out flylady thread for abbreviation) a phone call and he's had increased hours, hopefully she's feeling better and some of the stress and anxiety building up to this is finally ebbing away somewhat.

Dorastar has been plagued with fools trying to steal her lead flashing.

TMIF - Had a nice surprise in the post in the form of some redundancy pay for a couple of years ago from a company that went bust.

Crickett's blog is now up and running and it's really good :)

Souks been referred to a job interview in Edinburgh so fingers crossed for that.

Fantasia has been fantastic with her quitting smoking :T

I "think" that's the main summary. Apologies if I've missed anyone out :o

Up with the larks with DD but I do enjoy this fairly quiet start to the day. Have just put a small ham joint on to boil which I shall stick in the SC. I may even be tempted to do something with lentils with some of the ham.
A day of pottering I "think". I say think because once H and DS are up things do tend to change. I am making a new seat cushion for an old nursery chair so would like to be able to stitch that if I get chance.
Anyway enjoy your Sunday's, I hope they are as relaxing or fun filled as possible :D

Morning Bitsy. This is great summary - would you consider doing it more regularly? I have to admit that I have been finding it difficult to follow all - moves too fast, too many things happening. And I want to be able to!

Now I have to get back to writing and than running.

  • Today I'm going to a local plant nursery who supply bark chippings. There is already bark mulch down, with weed suppressant membrane underneath, but it (the bark) has been down so long it has turned into a great growth medium for weeds, which I blitzed yesterday evening.

So the beds will all get a generous top-up to smother any stragglers from trying to poke their pesky heads out into daylight again!

With the house on the market, it's an expense I had hoped to avoid, but 6 weeks of flu and post-viral fatigue have left the garden looking less than pristine. It's only this week that I've felt quite a bit better, and it's been good to catch up with tasks inside and outside the house.

No phone call from the would-be viewer that my estate agent didn't tell me about, so I'll be phoning first thing tomorrow to have a word, or several, in her ear.

Right a cup of tea and then I'm off for the bark chippings.

    Have a good day, everyone

Brilliant, thanks Bitsy. I agree with FW and MG, I just cannot keep up to date. Will try harder.

Morning all, day off today so just had a nice brekkie and going to pootle about on here and enjoy my favourite radio programme before heading to the gym later.

Applied for another few jobs last night. An alert came through for one that I opened and was laughing about how I couldn't possibly do that. I rang Mum last night as usual and said 'imagine me doing that'. There was a pause on the other end and she said 'I thought you would do most things for money'. To explain, not money for the sake of it, but money to do nice things with. Liza tickets aren't free you know!!!

It's much more casual than where I am now and I think I'd have to wear trainers to work, which goes against my grain as I like to be smart and feel nice. She reminded me of some of the horrendous outfits I'd worn as a rep and suggested that I go for it as you just never know. It's a big team and huge square foot and would look good on the CV so I did apply. I would love to work in something glam and high end but that doesn't appear to be happening so I did a lot of thinking and realised that this next job doesn't actually have to be my dream job, it just has to be my next job IYSWIM. I dont think I would hate it and I always learn something from employers. Also, the bit that I havent enjoyed about this job is all the tiptoeing round staff, there would be none of that working for this brand for sure so the form is filled out and we'll see. I cant sit turning stuff down waiting for my dream job to happen because the truth is that it might not be out there RIGHT NOW but what is out there is my landlord wanting his rent, the council wanting their council tax and the supermarkets wanting cash before I can buy food!!!!!! Work is not everything to me so even if it is not perfect I will still have other things going on and I have done things that were not exactly me before and brought some standards and stability to them so watch this space. Marru, dont know much about the other thing but if you need a hand with the wardrobe bit, just shout. It feels so much better to have stuff you like, wear regularly and fits well hanging there when you open the door. I could witter on about this for hours but better away and wash my dishes and get ready for todays gym sesh. XXX

Thanks Souk. What I really need is a list of items for work and off work that I can mix and match and would look fabulous on me. At the moment my colour mix is: sage green, different shades of purple and red of which nothing goes with the other. Hence having two pairs of work trousers (black and beige) to mix the tops with.

The work stuff is pretty ok at the moment, will need soon very desparately more trousers but want to lose a little bit more weight before buying any. It is the off work stuff that is lacking seriously. I have one pair of jeans (with broken zip), one pair of comfy trousers but they are purple so I have only couple of tops I can wear with them, and grey walking trousers (ones that zip off to turn into shorts). And then pile of agent T-shirts that do nothing to my hour glass figure (read: big top and big bottom).

I like the country style clothes and once had this wonderful west that looked really good on me (enhanced my waist), I am so cross with myself for chucking it away. Even if it had been too worn it would have made great pattern that I could have used to make wests for work and for leasure using different materials.
