How do the blighters get on your roof Dorastar? Mr NL had some cheery chaps taking the lead off his bay window at 4.30am a few months ago. They weren't very bright as his bedroom window was open and is just above the bay ... Once he repaired where they had ripped the flashing out of the brickwork, he liberally applied vandal paint. I assume that he also did the guttering downspouts for good measure.

Will not stop them if they really want to, but will put them off destroying your new rubberised stuff in the hope that it is lead!!! [Can you call crimestoppers with the names of the lads?]

Is a single storey extension right the way along the side of house and along the back too - with a handy wall running all the way down the side to climb up on.

Unfortunately don't know their names have seen one of them around before (skinny and spotty with a light grey trackie and hoodie) and his slightly larger mate (not as spotty but it was him talking about our flashing)haven't seen him around before - dh said the runner was a "scrawny eejit" - not sure Crimestoppers could do much with that:p

Hello Matrixettes.
I haven't been posting much recently, have loads of stuff going on and trying to deal with it all (frogs mostly lol).
But am happy to say that I am 5 weeks and 1 day free of cigarettes. Last week I had a huge allergic reaction to the patches though, all hives, itchy red lumps and bumps and heavy bruising. So patches are no more, doc said he'd never seen anyone react so badly. I declined the hyperallergenic patches. And am now using the mini lozenges instead.
I also had my peak flow reading done again for lung funcion, 5 weeks ago it was 150, yesterday it was 300, so has doubled since I quit, yay. It should be 420, to be normal but the doc says that it will rise to this over the next few weeks. Especially as I am physically much more active now than I was. So its all good here.

Well apart from getting involved in lively discussions on FW's thread, I've been putting a second coat of paint on the fence. Have done half, (so I can still move tonight :T ) and will do the other half tomorrow if the weather behaves itself.

Really proud of dd, she is really getting the hang of working, saving, then buying. She has managed to buy herself a new phone outright and after next week, will be able to afford a cut and colour at a really posh hairdresser. Mum and Dad however, were in fits of giggles today because between us, we couldn't afford to go charity clothes shopping. Ah well, there's always next week or maybe dd will treat us :rotfl:.

Next suggestion Dorastar ... any chance of rigging up camera equipment or lights or even signs saying you are being filmed??? I do like the idea of Mr DS in his D&D kit though

MG, a huuuuuuge thank you for the recipes. I made one tonight!!! Well sort of, I didn't know if Id like the taste enough to start by buying a huge sack so I bought a small bag and a wee tin with my online order and when I came home from work I made my salmony lemony thing from Nigella with your lemony lentil recipe and it was all done in about 10 mins! Absolutely delicious so you have a convert and I will cook the bag full up tomorrow and get freezing the portions.

I will also use your fork salad for Tuesday. I have to travel down south for work then and it is a long day which usually involves train snacks but this way I can stay on the diet and not have to have a pack up box full of something like fish or egg which will get too hot and smelly whilst sat on the train.

You went to lots of effort with this so thank you so much. You have made me very happy this evening!!! XXX

Sorry I have been MIA - work and home taken over. So many pages to read so will backtrack later (unless anybody can give a summary) Fantasia, well done you. Did spot that you had some stuff to deal with. Hope it is all going forwards and that you can get back on track with it all soon. Loving your attitude to stuff so keep that up and all will be fine.

MG - heading to read the recipes - will let you know if I understand them but I am sure I will, I too am a shake of this and a wiggle of that.
