MG - thanks - you've really cheered me up - no I was 22, not 12. Sadly, that makes me 50 in 3 years :eek:. 40 never bothered me but soemehow I feel I should grow up for 50 - after all - I can get SAGA insurance then.

OK what can I do to grow up????

    Erm?????
    Erm???

    OK - Naw, I won't - where can I buy purple hair dye :p

Ladies, if I am not mistaken, we are not a million miles away from the end of this thread.

What will the next one be called? :)

OK - I will bite!!!:D Exactly why is your bahookie hurting???

Probably because it doesn't get the intense workout that it used to once-upon-a-time, it's out of practise :D Poor thing doesn't know what's hit it - all this bending, stretching and getting into wierd positions just to paint a bl**din' fence.

I'm 50 in 3.5 years CM - exactly why do we have to grow up, that's boring.

Oh, I'd need insurance and stuff too apparently. Hmph, I was all up for writing these adverts up but mum and her partner don't want me to do it without CRB checks and insurance.

Been to see physio for group discussion-type appointment and then appointment for physio in a few weeks. Suggestions so far (bearing in mind I am a full time teacher) try not to stand up for long periods of time, don't lug heavy stuff around, drink more, take your time when you go to the loo - am now looking for a job/life where this is possible!!!

And then exercise pelvic floor, which is still awol atm - apparently the physiotherapist will know where to find it - she is going to have to visit the hospital where Ds was born cos that's where I saw it last :p

Crickett - hugs for the black cloud day - everyone I know has had a carppy one today so it's obviously in the air.

Happy 25th and 21st anniversaries to CM and Thrifty. Shame about the holiday CM - could you move it back to the winter time and go somewhere more exotic because you can save up more?

Thanks ladies, you just made me realise that I too am 50 in 3.5 years, so why do I still feel 20?

Why do you need a CRB check for dog walking??? Sure for babysitting most peeps would prefer someone with a CRB BUT if you're offering to walk a pooch or water plants......exactly who is the vulnerable person in that scenario?

Listen.....are you going to listen to your mum and her negativity or are you going to do what YOU think is the best course of action? It sounds to me that at the moment with your mum you can't do right for doing wrong. So you can't please her......stop trying.

Congrats to the Clooties on making 25 years. My mum and dad had their 40th nearly 3 years ago eek!!!

As for being 50.......well in 14 years time ;)

Dorastar - not sure how practical squatting can be in a classroom but it is much better for your back than sitting or standing. As for pelvic floor......well mine went walkabout :o
