Oceanspirit, did you have trouble with updates from windows too? My laptop seems to have got a lot slower since I last updated and half the things don't even work.

Yes, and I had the problem again this morning. I wasn't able to access my computer, but I could get online. Very odd. Anyway, have managed to get in again, uninstalled antivirus software and done a system restore. I will re-install antivirus and see what happens.

Crickett ((((hugs)))) and there are lots of shoulders around here for you too!

Bitsy hope the headache goes very soon

A productive day for me yesterday. Managed to do everything off my list for the day plus made a dent in the work for the charity. Even managed half an hour in the sun too and have the bikini strap mark to show for it!

Today needs to be loads more for the charity plus a couple of smaller things for me, then out with friends this evening.

  • Thanks for all the hugs. I have been into town to get the prescription filled (was a bit sneaky and did it after a meeting!) and have made the mistake of reading the list of side effects. It sounds bloody horrendous...! Including possible weight gain!!! !!!!!!! Anyway... I am clearing that out of my mind and imagining a healthful, energetic, incredibly positive me in 6 weeks time and not troubled by side effects at all. And apparently the drug I am on is supposedly fast acting. I hope so!!

Thanks for all the support ladies. It means loads to me.

Crickett: Ignore the side effects! I used to read them all but not anymore, they were more scarey than the condition. :eek:I am appalled with your GP, how insensitive. Try the medication but keep up all your other things also. Big Hugs.

It is again so hot and humid here that I am seriously struggling with my housework:eek:I don't cope well with this kind of weather.

IGNORE The side effects (unless you're feeling VERY pecuilar of course, and suspect you might be having a reaction). Most people don't get them! Keep on with your healthy eating, that'll be easier too when you feel better! xx

    Housework done:j:j:j

I insterspersed housework with 15 minutes of Bogey jobs, today being financial. I now have contents insurance, thanks to MSE I have really good cover for a year for the grand sum of £55.

Was about to pay off my catalouge debt of £264- most of which is fees, researched on here, spoke to National Debt Advisory and am holding fire on that one until I a) have a copy of credit agreement and b) have then made them a F+F offer. Thanks:money:

The Antibiotics I usually get prescribed for tonsillitis include in their long list of side-effects "Sore throat"! ;) reading the list of possible side-effects was a perfectly sensible thing to do Crickett but do now largely put them out of your head and get on with letting the tablets do their job - you'll realise soon enough if you have any issues. I think pretty much ALL tablets include possible weight gain in their list of side effects too!

TMIF That's true about the price of the patch - the Doctor who originally prescribed it for me didn't hesitate though (bless her heart!) as being needle phobic, with the memory of a goldfish and already tending to suffer badly from period pain, there weren't really any other options for me! :D I am extremely aware now though if I do have to change Doctor's (my current one is very good indeed - even lets me do my own BP readings at home as due to White Coat Hypertension my readings go through the roof in the surgery!) I may well struggle to stay on it as every time I see someone different they always try to talk me out of it.

Just had noodles for lunch, and will have some fruit in a moment. After a weekend of terrible food choices (there was pizza, an indian takeaway, and lots of ice cream in there!) I need to get back on track now. I will though - that is now not even in doubt.

Are they actually bad, or just not as good as you'd hoped for? Will it make a difference to what you want to do from here? ((((hugs)))) to you - horrible sinking feeling eh? xx
