It hasn't been particularly sunny here... Just hot. Luckily we did have 10 minutes of rain (and hopefully are getting more overnight) as I forgot to do the watering before bed.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. I picked up my prescription today and unsurprisingly the village pharmacy don't stock the pills, so I'm collecting them tomorrow. As a result of the displacement activity my kitchen cupboards are spotless inside and out, and I've even taken the fridge door seal off to clean it thoroughly! The rest of the house (and the kitchen, come to that) is filthy, so hopefully I'll get it all and least acceptably clean after the windows have been painted (should all be finished tomorrow).

FW - even if DS hasn't got the job, the interview experience will have been invaluable.
  • wow, Fantasia! Leyla looks to be at least twice the dog she was last time I saw a picture of her on here! Great work on your part, she must have settled well if she is eating so well and putting on weight. She looks the picture of health :)

FW I will keep everything crossed for your DS, it is hard out there and must take a lot of courage for him to keep trying if he hasn't worked for a while (unless i am remembering wrong in which case forgive me!). I'm glad you are feeling something is coming for him though, that sounds very positive and such feelings are normally not without good reason :)

MG - You mentioning the man from the Pru took me right back to when I was a kid and the man from the Pru would turn up each week for his money. or maybe it was the pools man. I vaguely remember an orange book with the figure of a man on the front in a suit. Did I have hallucinations when I was a kid or does anyone else actually remember the same? :o

I remember BB - orange book etc. The man from the Pru came on a Saturday morning to collect his money and used to give my sister and me a boiled sweet each.

Thanks, guys. I believe 'it is on its way'. DS1 has not worked for some time - it is not Greece where 40% of young people are un-employed but it is hard out there. Thing is, I am noticing that more and more young people are thinking about the whole employment lark differently (making money rather than having jobs) but this is not for everone; or some changes are necessary (in thinking and attitude).

    Anyway, time for writing ...starts...NOW!

Aaawww Fantasia - She has so much love in her.

Kitty cat coming tomorrow :j I need to dash to get her on my lunch break (and then leave early to see my shrink - boss won't be happy). Talking about my shrink. I am going to tell him that I don't want to go anymore. It makes absolutely no difference and organising going there is causing more stress. I think the cat will be more therapeutic.

Greenbee - glad you are on the mend, if you run out of replacement activity there you are always welcome here. I still haven't unpacked after our move over month ago.

    Must dash....

Actually, if we could have sunny with a bit of breeze today, that would be nice please.

Blazing sunshine on Sunday, followed by torrential downpours yesterday - very odd :D

Be honest with your Doc today Crickett - and listen to his/her advice. Best of luck xxx

Morning all. At work following very early morning doctors appointment. Not sure who was more sleepy, him or me!! :)

I told him everything. He weghed me and measured my height (why?!) told me I was morbidly obese and had the BMI worth crying over (no sh*t sherlock. I hadn't worked that out myself. Sigh) and then gave me a questionnaire to fill out. I must have scored pretty high because he gave me a prescription right away of a medium strength anti-depressant and told me to come back in 6 weeks, or earlier if I was feeling ropey. So, now I feel like crap because he pointed out how obese I am, plus I am having a down day anyway. :( Oh well... at least I have the prescription. I will get it filled at lunch time and get on with it.

Right... on with the day. I have back to back hideous meetings from 9 and then I have the rest of the day to plow through work. Lovely. Time to start. Laters Matrix peeps.
