  • Hello Matrix!

Well, I powered away this morning. Scratched three or four things off my to do list, got ready for my presentation... gave aforementioned presentation and walked out feeling a bit like I had been through a mangle. They were not in a receptive mood today. Sigh. Oh well. I have also organised a day off as annual leave tomorrow. I am going to spend the whole day watching the tennis and cross stitching. :D

Right... need to get ready for my next set of meetings and then home time. Shall I go swimming, or shall I just go home and get things ready for tea and stuff? Hmmm. Decisions, decisions! :)

Well done on getting your presentation done anyway crickett! :T :T

    And well frogged Marru!

I had a  moment this morning when I was checking to see if I'd had a response from someone about an email I sent weeks ago. Found the email I'd sent - and it turned out I'd forwarded my boss's email asking me to contact them - which wasn't exactly *insulting*, but wasn't exactly the most complimentary email either  :rotfl: All sorted now, and they don't hate me (or her!) but still

    Need cake now :D

Thank you all for your congratulaions on my win. Have thought long and hard about what to do with it. My first thought was to clear the majority of my debts with CCCS, then I had a re-think. I have a couple of small debts not included on my DMP, there are some things that desperately need replacing in the house(all smaller costs but still costs), our living room carpet needs replacing and we have no emergancy fundand no contents insurance. So have decided to enhance our living enviroment with the small things, pay off the non DMP debts, take out a years contents insurance:jand then save the remainder. We're putting the carpet on hold until we have had all the work done downstairs(no date yet) so in the mean time it can earn me some interest.

Going to collect my winnings at tea time:jI that so grateful for this gift from the Universe that I am going to use it wisely and enhance our environment and therefore our lifestyle.

Congratulations RobsMum. That is 2 lottery wins I have heard of now. One was a man from my area who won last weeks jackpot. Really pleased for you.

(but I did see a young sparrow get run over by a car on the way here :( very sad :( not sure what I could have done though - although I didn't check it was properly dead too closely - couldn't face bopping it on the head if it wasn't, and now I'm feeling bad :o)
Ooops, does that make me hard-hearted and insensitive then...

It's not a normal morning Chez Moi unless I am ejecting half live mice and bopping them on the head if they are past the point of redemption!

Infact, I evicted one using !!!!!!'s slipper this morning. I am still deciding whether to tell him :D

Cheery I was like you, couldn't face putting them out of their misery but couldn't bear to let them suffer either. However considering killer cat is now routinely half killing stuff I am kinda going the way of TMIF although I am not quite at the stage of a mercy killing :o bloomin' cat brought in a live frog this morning  It was playing dead and she wasn't happy it wouldn't move. I flicked it into a bucket and deposited it further down the road from our house.

Anyway in between saving frogs I chewed a few of my housework ones :D Vac has been put round all downstairs, dusted lounge and dining room, hung a load of washing on the line and cleaned the dining room and kitchen windows inside and out :D And I've even rung the builder. Can I keep this pace up I wonder :o

I have to say whilst cleaning I had 4Music channel on. Half an hour of music videos and boy does my self esteem feel on the floor :o video after video of scantily clad girls, writhing around, showing themselves off to perfection. I should remind myself that a) I am probably at lease 15 years older and b) had two kids but it did make me think about what my DD is going to be exposed to and this unrealistic body image :( Needless to say I turned off the TV, but some of that was also because the music was terrible. I am so getting old :o :rotfl:

Feel a bit :o about all your wonderful weightloss (not jealous I must add but embarrassed that I've been unable to actually make any differences). I haven't managed to change a bit :o:o I keep meaning to intuitively eat and exercise but struggling with it TBH :( Am feeling at the moment that some habits I just can't break <sigh>

Fantasia - Well done on 17 days :T

FW - at your mum being struck not once but twice by lightening

Bitsy - try watching music videos without the sound on - shows them up for the poncing fools they are and you can be glad you don't act like that! :D

One of the songs was Beyonce. Please can someone tell me HOW on earth she is still in the music business because it was just awful. And lyrics? well I think it was two sentances repeated. Ad nauseum.

I suspect because much of the music business doesn't revolve around 'music' these days :D

    Hello Everyone.

I just popped in to catch up and say hello.

Blimey I don't know where you all get the energy from, always up to one thing or another. Off to do a bit more reading backwards of the thread now. I hope it starts to rub off on me.

    Have a good afternoon all.
