Morning matrix.
I stepped away from the computer yesterday as I had spent lots of time lurking on the computer on Saturday without much to show for it. So, decided to spend Sunday relaxing and having fun. We went to the leisure club that I belong to. I had a swim (not very much of one because I had a migraine brewing...) and my pace was up to my old style. I was on course for 120 lengths (18 metre pool) in and hour... and I used to be able to do 2 km in 60 minutes... so not bad at all. I only did 32 lengths and then spent 15 glorious minutes in the steam room! After that, hubby and I had a rather luxurious lunch in the posh restaurant attached to the leisure club and then went home. I installed myself on the sofa and did loads of my cross stitching. Hubby did some housework. And then we had an opera evening - we watched the final of the Cardiff Singer of the World and then Popstar to Operastar.
What a fantastic night.
And once again I am at work. Lets hope I can keep an even keel this week. Last week was really tough at work, and i could do with an easy week and lots of work getting done. We shall see. At the end of the week I have a leaving do with one of my favourite academics who is leaving for a job in the US. Great for his career, but I am going to miss him terribly!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -

Well done, Robsmum! Who said that it is more likely to be struck by lightening than to win the lottery? Well, they were obviously wrong.
Am I right that you will be almost debt free, as a result of this?

Wednesday will see - although I am eating loads and loads so we will see how the healthy eating is going then.
MG
Funny you should mention this one. So do my clothes - but I am in training which means running or gym most days; this changes the way I eat - what I want to eat changes. Shall see how this one develops anyway.

Welcome back GQ :T Glad you've done some mental and physical decluttering :j :j Well done you! :T

Fab news on loose jeans MG and crickett! :T :T :T Slimming world for me tonight - eek!
Made it to work before 9am, which may not seem like much of an achievement, but it meant I had to leave home at 6.10   Still, I'm here, have done a fair bit of exercise already, and done some work on the train. I've got a cuppa, and a plan for the day, and I'm raring to go! :T
(but I did see a young sparrow get run over by a car on the way herevery sad
not sure what I could have done though - although I didn't check it was properly dead too closely - couldn't face bopping it on the head if it wasn't, and now I'm feeling bad

That might have been me FWIt's actually true you know (well, to actually *win* the jackpot, that is!)
And so far I know one person who's been struck by lightening, one who's won on the lottery0 -

I know it is true - statistically. The problem is statistics is not very acurate in individual cases. As to the lightening - my mum was struch twice; luckily she was not killed.
Well done on getting to work early - I have been writing since 6.00 am (got up at 5.50 without alarm clock). Are you still doing the weekly, daily, no more than three majot entries planning? I am and it seem to be working fine for me.
