  • The cash machine is a better idea MG I'd have thought. I expect its fraud or something, and the shop wouldn't be able to allow it :(

    Is there a wedding?
  • Cash machine would be your best bet, he is only 10, I suspect (depending on what the shop is like) they might be suspious? that he is stolen his Mum's card?
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Problem solved - Grandma arrived so I sent her of to the cashline machine. DS1 can now go to LIDL over the weekend for anything we need without it being a problem.

Ever since 11 this morning I have had really bad internet connection - phoned Talktalk and the phone kept cutting out so got an engineer coming on Wednesday.

So if I dissappear over the Bank Holiday weekend - I'm not sulking that I wasn't invited to the wedding just can't get on IYSWIM

  • Oooh Pimms and Cava spritzer - that sounds lovely Bitsy. Hope you feel better soon.

Dd is the same age (15) as I was when Charles and Di got married - don't time fly :D. On their wedding day, I was cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms in a local hotel. Today I have been cleaning our bathroom at home - nothing much changes then :rotfl:.

.... and they're trying to tell us Kate is a commoner - my @rse

.... wonder what that makes me then - a hard-grafting peasant that's wot :rotfl:

    Off to make tea :D

she's new money darling... really not the same

Mind you... she's probably more British than they are... :p and a few more non-midget genes in the gene pool are probably a very good thing!

It is not hard to be more British than the Royal family; they Saxe Coburg Gotha, arn't they? Have to explain to my sister that there is no wonder that Simeon (this is the Bulgarian king who is not a king but became Prime Minister of Bulgaria several years back) is invited to the wedding; he is family.

Katherine (as she has become) is a commoner but this doesn't mean she is common. As to improving the gene pool - what can I say. Lovely...
