(((~~~~~~~~cherisong~~~~~))))))) hope things ease up soon for you xx
MG - your talk of knitting standing up reminded me of this that I read years ago - a woman whose son didn't want to stop knitting when his legs were tired of sitting down so he clipped the wool to his shirt :rotfl:'Find a way to keep doing what you love'...
lionheartedgirl - I'm the same about letting go without the sheet musicI'm off to Scandimoot - I heard about it because I generally hang around with a lot of musicians, mostly folky types, and the other week trotted along to a session of european music and dancing that happens in a pub every month here, where they made an announcement about it. I got talking to someone I know, and he told me my friend in Belgium was going too
(I did *take* my flute to the pub, but wasn't brave enough to get it out
did lots of dancing though
and caught up with a few folk I've not seen for a while). Anyway, I know I'm much better being *taught* things sometimes than I am working up to doing them myself
Just finished one of today's work tasks :j :j :j ONly another 3 to go :rotfl:0 -
Oooh, Cheery, I'm having 2 workshop lessons next Saturday, and I'm supposed to play a little bit in the pub tonight (with others, of course)!

If there are any more positive vibes lying around please could you scoop them up and chuck them over here? Have truly, madly and deeply co**ed up at work by sending the wrong figures in (the computer must have automatically entered them in from previous format) and now I am standing in deep poo. Whats worse is the boss was really nice about it - I would much rather he ranted and slapped me with a wet fish - although he should also have checked the figures before they went in. Have been called to a very important meeting to see what happens next (on Thurs) and am trying to be positive but am devastated at what my numptybrain has done and want to crawl under a rock.
Have many fat and juicy frogs to contemplate this long weekend and a dh who is away and two icklies who might have to watch endless scooby doo till the frogs are shiftedMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Oh dorastar, nothing is irredeemable! Your boss is nice because (a) people make mistakes all the time, (b) it would be incredibly impolite and unprofessional to do otherwise, and (c) it's partly his fault too
Deep breaths - I imagine your boss will be in worse trouble than you. It's only reasonable of you to be embarrassed though
but not for too long. Deep breaths, a nice cup of tea (laced with brandy perhaps), and remember, this too shall pass, and in a couple of months time nobody will even remember. xxxxx And don't worry about your kids, if they like scooby doo they'll be fine, 15 minutes at a time, one thing at a time, one step forwards at a time, everything will be ok xx

Hi Dorastar - we are all entitled to make mistakes you know ............ and that's all they are, mistakes and human error.
But the fact that your Boss didn't pick up the mistake means that there is a systemic issue that can and should be addessed to make sure it doesn't happen again. Its an opportunity to improve business systems, not a blame game IYSWIM??
In the meantime - loads of positive energy flowing your way to help you negotiate this with grace.

He was lovely about it too as was my boss.
I have been drooling over the most lovely blog. I am not sure if any of you have seen it but the stuff she makes is lovely, her pictures are lovely.......basically it's just lovely, lovely, lovely. I wish my home looked as sunny as hersI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Well, just when you thought it was winding down for the weekend
Just congratulating myself on directing DS1 into the depths of the fridge freezer to retreive a block of bolognese sauce to go with some spaghetti (thanks to a Freezer inventory and some bulk cooking) ................... when the door goes.
So I shuffle around to answer it ...............
Baliffs !!!!!!!!!!!!! Again !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The previous owners of Memorygirl Manor must owe a serious amount to quite a few peeps - I just return all the DCA letters as "not at this address since 2009"
"Can we come in"
"erm!!! No!!!"
"We can legally enter you know, we need to take an inventory of your goods for removal"
"You think so????"
"Yes"
"Only if you have a warrant or papers from the court"
"erm!"
"besides I'm not who you are looking for"
"can you prove that?"
"Yes" - still standing at the door:rotfl:
"Well?"
"Not bad thanks - how's yourself" (I know cruel, but Panto joke)
I suggest you check the voters roll or council tax and amend your details - because Ms XXXXX has been in Egypt since 2009.
Can we come in to verify that"
"No - its dinner time and you may not come in"
"erm!!! Ok - we will be in touch"
.................. Ooooh!!! I can't wait. The thing is it's the same baliffs that have been here before and I spent ages with them last time verifying that I was not who they were looking for:mad:
I'm beginning to think this house has had a pretty negative financial past!!!! Well it ends here - nothing but positive financial energy from here on in:T
