Ouch MG.
Look after yourself, make sure you let it heal before doing any more major excavation. Gentle tasks only. But don't sit still for too long or you may seize up, so a bit of pottering is probably in order. And yes, it will be boring as you may not be able to concentrate for long.
I'm feeling highly unmotivated at the moment... not getting up when I wake up and then the rest of the day just vanishes. I had a relaxing day in the garden yesterday in the hope that it would help, but the house is still a tip. So I need to make a start on those frogs and hope it will make a difference.
1. book taxis for next week's work trip, or I won't get to the airport...
2. Tidy and clean study so I can start using it again
3. Make dentist appointment
4. Print DVLA stuff for work and post
5. Meter readings, postal vote, expenses, letters
6. Work out whether I can fix the mower, and if not, where I can take it to be fixed...
Claire - great to see that everyone is pulling their weight. Just make sure that if they start slacking, you make sure they know its not acceptable!0 -

MG take care. That Dr does sound nice (is he young and unmarried;))
Greenbee, I am with you on the unmotivated bit. Dont know how to get going just lately.
Ladies can I please ask for some positive vibes to head my way. Bit of a tricky situation being dealt with at the moment and I need all the help I can get in the positivity stakes right now.

I think this might be a question for the 'other side' but can anybody point me in the direction of setting up a customer database for dummies?
Thanks

Positive vibes heading to Cheri...! Hope everything is okay.
Really MUST knuckle down this afternoon and get through work. Have a really bad attack of the CBA's at the moment (Can't Be A%sed's). Sigh. I'm blaming the north wind (its COLD!!!) and the fact that there is stuff going on in my life that is preventing me from focussing on the priorities. I need it sorted out to be able to move on, but its not stuff I'm in control of.
Anyway, work taxis are booked, so I will at least get to the airport on Monday
About a third of the study has been sorted, and I will have a shocking amount of filing to do by the time the desk is clear enough for me to doLooks like I haven't done anything for a couple of months... discovered I have a DynoRod bill to pay and a boiler service to book.
Once all this is sorted out I need to make a start on getting people to come in and do all the work that needs doing on the house. Why are people so unreliable? I was under the impression that times were tough, but no one seems to be able to turn up for the appointments they make to come and quote, which doesn't bode well for their ability to turn up and DO the work!0 -
Positive love and energy coming your way Cheri xx
Wow MG what an amazing doctor, sounds like someone who is truly called to his profession. Wish I had him here right now, I forgot to take my painkillers and OH's disabled parking badge and am aching already, so hope that I'll be okay and that OH won't need much help walking late at night to the car park space on our way home!!
On the way to London on the train this morning I did myself a big to do list of work/personal admin tasks and seem to have got through nearly half alreadyGoing to make time this weekend to sit down by myself and read the Frog book properly.

Just been out for a walk in the sunshine, it’s lovely out there! Just a few more hours in work and then off for the looooong weekend!
Thanks for the mega-positive-vibes Fantasia and Bitsy Beans, I’m going to need them
I’ve worked out that to reduce the CC to £4,100, I’m going to need to make total payments of about £180 to allow for interest which will be about £70. I usually make a payment of £90, so that’s an extra £90 to find.
As for the savings, I’m looking for an extra £100 on top of my usual deposits.
That on top of OH having been deducted £200 in his pay this month…oh well, we won’t achieve anything by giving up, so I’m going for it anyway.
At least the radish and salad leaf seeds will be cheap!:rotfl:
Hope your back feels better soon MG, and what a lovely doctor.
Lots of positive motivational vibes to you Cheri & Greenbee
