MG I am also not getting email updates but Mr F sorted out my registration as I was having some problems too. I agree with the linking to facebook and Cheery's comment re commenting on other blogs. I dont have many followers (although mine is purely for fun) but whenever I follow somebody else they tend to visit leave a comment and then I pick up a new follower. I expect it is hard work and time consuming if you are doing it as part of a business.

Hi Everyone, long time lurker needing some advice or a kick up the bum whichever you thinks best.
I'm studying AAT at the minute (Noticed quite a few accountants here) I've got my two exams in the next 2 weeks aswel as computerised payroll. I'm trying to revise using mind maps, when I'm not in work but with college 3 nights a week aswel nothing seems to be going in! Any ideas please?

    Question practice. Loads of it.

Then go through your written answer and compare with the printed one and see where you go squiffy!

Learn the proformas (i.e. P&L (or Income Statment if you're modern) Use the format shown in the answer - this will make it much easier to mark then, and markers like that (I promise!)).

Go for the easy marks on all of the questions you need to do.

Which 2 modules are you doing x

Yep, all posts have arrived; and there was MrF going on about server settings and protocols. He probably changed it before being sent to the gym.

  • Woo hoo!

4 very good things to report!

    1) I have just been an angel with my lunch. Jacket potato with cheese and low fat coleslaw, banana and a diet coke. Much better than the chip butty I had been fancying! Plus really filling and I feel lovely and satisfied now. My breakfast was good too - fresh berries, full fat yogurt, sprinkling of muesli on top. Yum yum! :D

    2) I have been given permission to work from home tomorrow. YIPEEE! It means that I might actually be able to complete one of the projects I am currently working on. I can't believe how exciting this is going to be for me!! :D

    3) Just got confirmation that CIPFA received my portfolio! YAY! It's in the system.

    4) Hubby and I might be going to buy a computer tonight! :D I know its an expensive thing to do, but we have built up savings in the past year or so, and if I am going to be doing more stuff on my own business and making myself a patchwork life (which is such a lovely way of looking at things!) then I am going to need a computer and so is he, so he can do stuff online too. Plus, I am going to be teaching myself how to write computer programmes, so it is going to be handy for sure! :D

MG, if you don't mind, I am going to shamelessly steal your idea of your Circle of Life split into 7 themes. I love that idea, and want to think about how it could work in my own life.

Right... need to clear the decks in the office, make sure I have all the right stuff I am going to need for my working from home tomorrow and then head off to my afternoon meeting! :D I will pop in and see you guys tomorrow, if not before! :D
