You go to the gym - and what happens???? I make jam, that's what happens.:D

1 jar of perfect raspberry jam is sitting on the side waiting for breakfast toast - I feel all Domestic Godessy especially as I feel that lovely though rasps are - raspberry jam is pure nectar of the Gods.

My neighbour brought in a large handful of rasps - but as the boys had gone to bed knew that if they were going to survive until breakfast I had to do something with them asap. Otherwise I would have scoffed the lot.

So 10 minutes and 8 oz sugar later I have a "pot of summer"...

Good day - sun actually came out today and showed its face for the first time in days!

Got a photo of my two icklies at Nans birthday party and I am shocked to see how similar they are. We never normally get photos of them looking straight at the camera and both smiling at the same time but they are undoubtedly brother and sister and share my cheek shape and face shape (very scary) Dd looks about 13 in her pic with Nan as well, she is only 9!

More positive news is that my olds are back in their house after being flooded out in November when they were on holiday. They have been in a little flat since then and my mum has been getting really down about it all. Hopefully they can get straight soon and settle back into the house easily.

Oooh, and I made lots of cheery progress on my 18 month plan yesterday :T :T :T All excited now! :T

    Yay Cheery!

OH and I discussed a lot of things whilst away, hence the big push to get my home de-cluttered to allow us space to actually make our plans.

We've made great progress today - my desk is almost clear and the things I need to do some more work on are spread out in neat piles to make them easier for me to see. I'm looking forward to getting them done and filed. Phase 2 of the declutter will be another day in the office, hopefully at the weekend.
... it seems more and more of us are moving towards a patchwork and simpler style of living.

Yep, count me in! I'm very excited today as some veg plants my sister grew from seed are starting to produce. Courgettes are looking good and the bean plants which I thought had died whilst I was away have made a good recovery and are looking like little green spaghetti trees.

Crickett - another great day for you! The computer will be a great investment.

    Good morning Matrix-ers :D

Lots of lovely sunshine at the moment, even pegged the washing out at 6am. Up early with kids today so I will mostly be surviving on coffee and trying not to rely on stuffing myself with food to keep me awake :o
My mum is coming round this morning, we're probably going to have a go at making a dress for DD. My mum has already made two but I've never used a pattern before so want to have a go myself.
Veggies are coming on a treat outside, I've got flowers on my courgette plant, added some baby spinach to our side salad last night, broccoli and savoy cabbage getting nice and big, lots of flowers on my peas. I even had enough raspberries and a single strawberry for a very small fruit salad LOL

I need to invest more effort into the 15 mins thing, feeling like there's not enough hours in the day :o OK I'll admit that some of that is poor time management on my part (too much time spent on MSE :o) so I end up doing and impression of Benny Hill rapid runaround :rotfl:

Crickett - Enjoy new computer :D Nothing like a shiny new gadget to play with ;)

Well done to Cheery and Oceanspirit on progress made in relation to your plans :T

Dorastar - Glad the "olds" are moving back home x

Have a great day, positive and productive day everyone :D

Bitsy - kids are time Vampires - they just seem to swallow entire days and before you know it you are standing in the kitchen washing up after dinner -AGAIN!!!!

So why not build yourself up from one productive 15 mins per day, to two, to one every hour - to the occasional "Power Day" when you do nothing but 15 minute rotations on different tasks for a whole morning or day.

Believe it or not we are not all superproductive here - I have a Mount Washmore pile of ironing that needs to be tackled NOW otherwise I have no good clothes for work tomorrow.

What is helping is chomping my biggest Frog first thing in the morning before the kids are even up - thatway even if the rest of life happens i have done some little thing to move me forward.

Kids are up and eating bread and raspberry jam for breakfast - well when I say eating, DS2 looks more like a piece of installation Art:D

So time to get myself something slightly more wholesome (and take some photos - I'm thinking some tangy and spicy!!!

BTW if you want to complete the "Wheel of Life" exercise I have posted it up early on the blog to give you something to digest with your morning coffee.

I have identified part of the reason my moods have been more stable over the last few weeks (apart form taking my iron supplements). Now this is probably going to sound like counterintuitive here, so don't flame me.

Since I automated my debt repayments and made sure that every week I "Pay myself first" into the Freedom Fund I have found I have been less obsessive about worrying about money. I no longer focus on how little I have every day - instead I now have the space to concentrate on how to generate more income ............ a change in focus indeed.

Now don't get me wrong, the knowing exactly how every penny was working for me had a place for quite a long time ( bouncing back from being wiped out takes focus and effort) - but I found later that I was in a place of fear and I didn't like that in myself.

Maybe there is a process that you go through from being wiped out by a Financial landslide and getting back on track again?

    Morning Matrix!

Got to my "desk" (well, the dining table!) for today at the usual time. Except I got up later than usual, have had breakfast with hubby (homemade breakfast smoothie), have a MASSIVE pot of tea to attack, and have a kitten lying at my feet purring! I could definitely get used to this!!

We have purchased the new laptop. It is going to be set up tonight and probably for the rest of the week. It is very shiny... and very lovely! :D I have started reading about the programming language I am going to learn as well... which is very exciting indeed!

Right, do not want to spend all day on here (no matter the temptation!) so I shall wish everyone a positive morning and get knuckled down to some serious work! :D See you at lunchtime!
