Well after my drama's over the past couple of weeks, I have very little to report, except that I am going back to work today. I have a nice clear set of lungs after antibiotics, steroids (2 sets of each) and havent felt so oxygenated for about 20 years :):). And, and, and, I AM 3 DAYS CLEAN OF CIGARETTES. I know thats no major achievement really, and I have had to resort to nicotine replacement patches, cold turkey for 1st 12 hours had me climbing the walls. I dont want to bore everyone with my quest to stop smoking, but i hope its ok to put in here how many days clean I manage, just to encourage myself. I 'know' everyone here and dont really want to go onto the no smoking thread, I just think an online reference where I post regularly will serve as a reminder to me.

Hope thats ok, positive vibes to all who need them.
Do we have any news on baby Parsnip yet?.

    Busy morning here Chez MG

Bank Statement is in - and if I pay £128.20 off my Mortagage account it brings my mortgage down a whole thousand bracket:j to £125000.

This sweeping pennies over every now and again is really paying off (If you pardon the pun)

So I am about to bite the bullet and go online and transfer the funds (from my back-paid In work credit) over and then Mum is taking us to the Chinese Buffet for lunch to celebrate.(Shes got some vouchers - hoorah!!!!)

Now - if I can put my head down and do this another 125 times I can tell the Big Horse Bank bye bye:rotfl:

    Happy Mondays

One of the best things about the peeps on this thread (probably including those of you who read but don't post) is the feeling that we did all come from the same eggs.:D

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

...even more so now that I realize we share a birthday!:D

...'delegating' for this week will involve getting OH to cook a few simple dinners that don't involve eggs or steak - the former we have run out of due to weekend baking blitz - the later is waaaaaaaaaay outside the grocery budget!...

No lurking now, come out to play :rotfl:. Ladies, I have a new aspiration in life, I want to be the Wise Woman in the village - the one who can turn her hand to everything (ok almost anything) and has a wise word to offer on any subject :rotfl:.

Well today is off to a good tada start:
Wm on twice - one load out to dry on line
    Veggies prepped for tea
Large load of mushrooms cooked, ready to be portioned and frozen
    Beds made
    Supper and breakfast dishes done

Next on list is to cook-up and de-scuzz mince ready to be portioned and frozen; some house paperwork; ironing and to make an apple crumble with sour apples that family won't eat :D.

Good news on the mortgage MG :T

Morning Matrix. Popping in before two back to back meetings from hell. Oh, how i love Mondays!

Had a great weekend with hubby. we started off a little cross with one another for no apparent reason but by the end of the weekend we were getting on great. We had some brilliant conversations, including one deep and meaningful, which just... well... made my heart sing. One of the problems we have been having is that work and chores and the grind of daily life has been getting to us during the week so we don't feel especially close to one another during the week. So we are going to try and work on that this week.

Food was okay during the weekend... but not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Still, I did the exercise on Saturday and then went swimming on Sunday. I am intending on doing some walking and maybe some yoga and muscle exercises tonight too. Oh... and the ironing. :D

Have a good day everyone. Off to grab a cup of tea before Meeting from Hell part 1! :) Take care all... and see you tomorrow probably!! :D

    Well done fantasia! :T :T :T

And well done Crickett too :T :T It's so easy to get bogged down in mundane things and forget about each other x

I've put a rambling post on the other side about a slight issue I'm having at work - if anyone's got 5 minutes I'd appreciate an opinion or two :o It's in the jobs and employment bit :)

Fantasia - WELL DONE :T 3 days is a great achievement :D Please continue to share your journey to a ciggie free life, we're all here to give encouragement and support to everyone.

Thrifty - Ooooh I LIKE that idea, being the Wise Woman in the village.......if only I actually lived in a village :rotfl: Perhaps the next thread could be entitled the Matrix Wise Women (and men) :rotfl:

Cheery - will pop off and have a look although I can't promise I can give any advice ;):o
