Memorygirls - The Matrix Re-inspired

The thing is I can't even see the receiver or its menu when the TV is switched on - so either my ariel has blown off or the receiver is caput!!!
I'm going to unplug and replug everything before I go and spend a penny however.
Mum has been on the phone asking me what I would like and what we will be doing for my birthday (next Saturday) and I have no idea. Thought of asking her for some of my "inspirational perfume - I'd love to wear Estee Lauders "Pleasures" again as the smell reminds me of a very good and productive time in my life.
What I would really like is a new life - but thats not something my Mum can give me - that's something I need to go out and grab for myself.
And I suppose "a million pounds and the acclaim of the masses" is out of the question :rotfl::rotfl:

Sometimes two halves of a couple sit in their respective houses getting annoyed because the other one hasn't called them, but not calling themselves.... Sounds like a good idea to get out in the sunshine! :T
I can relate to this. Last weekend Mr C was visiting his parents. I got very upset that he didnt call me all day on Sunday. When I told him this by text at 10pm, he replied to say that he was at our friends but heading home and would call me in one hour. When he rang he said that he had been a bit "miffed" as I hadnt sent him any texts and he had missed my little silly messages to get him through his day with his parents. We both realised that it is silly to wait for the other to call if we are thinking of each other. DOH!Memory_Girl wrote: »:rotfl::rotfl: And when he was in Working Girl I was gorgeous - and in Star Wars too.
Now - craggy would match :rotfl::rotfl:
Enough already!!! By the looks of your piccy you still look like you did when he was in Star wars. (agree re the eye candy by the way

PS I also find Cary Grant seriously seriously dreamy - even though I know he, well you know?:D But still he is gorgeous in all those lovely old films. Oh I SO agree. Not sure if it is the black and white film or the dress sense but I SO like a lot of the old film stars. Rock Husdson, Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra (when very young),Memory_Girl wrote: »

I love wearing a perfume that brings back memories of good times. For me I really love Gianni Versace (the original which is now discontinued). Reminds me of my 19th birthday party and a coach trip of all my friends to Wigan Pier.
Long days over. Working this evening from 5 til 10 but it is travel time and will be on the train so might do some writing up and catch up from the last two days being out. I have a very important appointment on Tuesday so I am excited, nervous and terrified all at once. Remember MG your post re anticipation for Christmas? Well that is how I feel. Once we get all the rehearsals out of the way tomorrow I know I will go into little girl excited mode. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. A garden that looks like a building site, absolutely no idea what I'm doing, an offer to spend a morning helping which turns into 5 minutes of chipping concrete offering 'advice' that mostly consists of 'well it's common sense, isn't it?' (er, no, that's why I can't do it), a predictable stomping off tantrum (made worse when I pointed out the predictable nature of said stomping off tantrum
), and, er, a garden that STILL looks like a building site.
I suspect my plan from earlier in the week of paying someone else to do it is the most sensible one!0 -
Oh dear Cheery, deep breaths!
Cheri that sounds exciting, positive vibes.
MG, why thank you. I do try to be glam and OS all at once but not sure it always works!
Well the SC is on with a HUGE portion of chilli in it. My favourite radio show is on and Im pottering good style.

Souk, how exciting......... I would love to see Liza Minelli.
Cheery.............. I SO feel your pain. Same issues here I am afraid, just no money to pay somebody. I would suggest that if you can afford it that it is a very good investment. After all, you love your gardening and it brings you so much pleasure. My theory is/was that if I could pay for somebody to do the hard stuff and get it out of the way quickly then I am gaining a lot more. After all, if you work out how much per hour you work and how many hours you have already spent trying to do it (not thinking if you can help it about how much longer it would take for you to do it) then price up the job, I bet it would work out cheaper. If any of that makes sense.
Should be packing my case. Just tried on my new uniform and feel very smart in it. Tummy getting butterflies already, dread think how I will feel on Tuesday morning. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. It does indeed make sense cheri - which is why I was so pleased I'd thought of it earlier in the week
(and so stupified it had taken me months to think of it :rotfl:). I am, for the first time in my life, in a position where I *can* afford to pay someone, and don't *have* to battle on by myself - although apparently that's a negative attitude... I've set a deadline of 4 weeks for the person with the positive 'Of course I can do it' attitude to actually *do* it (I believe he's more than capable - I just think he has other things he'd rather be doing...) and then I'm paying someone regardless.
Deep breaths, and I might just take myself out to the local cafe for a nice piece of cake0
