Sounds like you need a break (not that I'm offering to swap :p. Could someone take DS out for the day for you sometime so you can have some time off?

Sadly no, am working all this week so no time off BUT my mum popped round for a coffee this afternoon and I have arranged to meet a friend at the park for an hour or so tomorrow morning so I can at least see another grown up. I shall get a break from DS when he goes back to school next week :o

Am going to ask the universe for a new back (please) as the one I have is frankly to rubbish atm. Am dosed up on painkillers which aren't killing the pain and have got a heated pad stuck to me which is making my back warm but not less painful so am feeling a bit pants.

Get some ice on it, will help reduce any imflammation and take some ibuprophen (sp?). If it's your lumbar region sitting will only make it more uncomfortable so perhaps try squatting or lying on your back with your legs supported at 90 degree angle. Can you tell I have issues with my lower back :rotfl:

    Evening

I have made a bag!! just need to make a strap and line the inside with pink material, I have a pink and white pillowcase here that I can use, My mate gave me some lovely check ribbon to go on the waist band. Now can anyone tell me how I line it?

LOL deleted my last message as I realised it wouldn't work. I think you may have to make the lining bag, hem the top edge and then insert that into bag and stitch it to the bag around where is joins the waist band. At least if you're adding ribbon it will hopefully hide the stitching a little from the outside. The Made blog I am addicted to suggested a double line of stitching on things to make it look more professionally made.

Bitsy - do you have any other childminders you could meet up with for a chat/outing during the holidays?
I was a bit naughty for my last inspection - just wrote a load of days down that I had checked the smoke detector. Can't be bothered this time as the new one goes off every time we use the toaster! My inspection will be the first week of the summer holidays and I will have an inspector who is re-nowned for being picky.

Evening all, been AWOL due to work/revision, I really don't care about this exam now - I just want it all over because I'm so stressed that I'm not sleeping. Hope everyone is okay

Not really. they are all really cliquey and I don't attend the weekly toddler group anymore as I don't have any minded children on that day. My one friend who is a CM has loads of kids in the holidays so it's not really feasible to visit her with my lot in tow :o

Good luck with your next inspection, mine will be due next year so I am trying to get everythin I put in my SEF in place :o

Sorry to hear about all the poorlies - hope everyone is feeling better soon, whether it's a physical injury or illness or just general down-in-the-dumpsness.

Claire the bag sounds fab! I hope you're going to share a photo of it when it's done?!

Crickett I'm sure I'm not the only one crossing fingers for a good result from your weigh-in! You've done so well you really deserve to have lost!

I want crisps and chocolate! Had the pork stew and rice for tea - consciously put out a smaller portion of rice for myself than I would usually have done. The stew was basically pork cheek cooked really slowly with tinned tomatoes and loads of other veggies, plus some Chipotle tabasco and sweet smoked paprika. I did have a couple of small slices of oat & honey bread with it - I used the Benecol Buttery Taste spread rather than butter. Followed that up with a bowl of fruit - melon, strawberries, kiwi fruit and a nectarine. I have certainly hit my 5 a day again today! :T I have to admit knowing that I have to confess to "you lot" is working wonders when I am tempted....however, I am going to treat myself to a couple of squares of Dark chocolate with Raspberry now! :D It will just be a couple of squares though!

LOL! It's a running joke that you can tell what time people get up on a CL (certificated location, restricted to 5 caravans) by what time their smoke alarm goes off :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs for everyone who needs one and congrats to everyone :T:T (whether they think they deserve it or not)

Healthy eating took a knock over the weekend. Atually not so bad when I think about it. :p

Sunday, I had a Slow Cooker full of cassoulet for a batch cook and ended up with 5 extra for supper so it all went - though folk were quite impressed by HM meal + HM wine and breakfast including HM bread and HM marmalade. Even packed lunch of HM rolls, Home cooked gammon and Felt quite smug.

Monday, Lived it up with pork chops. HM stuffing, roast etc.

Tuesday, using up some gammon boiled over weekend so gammon, egg and HM chips.

    Wednesday, Shepherd-less pie.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

I DONE IT!!!!! I made the bag. The lining was hard going but it is done :) Just need to put poppers on it and bling the front flap with something its looking rather boring.

Will take pics once the front is blinged, any ideas gratefully received.

Bitsy, as my lovely Mum says: We dont always have to be winning the race, sometimes we just have to be running it. Take it easy.

MG, enjoy your time with the guests and Cheery my poor mum had a terrible time on the beta blockers. Repeat after me now 'It's not me, it's the pills!'
