    Afternoon Matrix.

Had some good meetings this morning, especially with the Dean. She is a cracker. :) Decisive, knows her own mind, intelligent. I can work with people like that. :D Have quite a bit of work to do after that and the following meeting (costing another course...urgh! But, it is the time of year for that kind of thing to be done...!) but at least it is keeping me off the streets.

Going to go to the swimming pool tonight on the way home and do some lengths. I haven't been for ages... and I really fancy having a good old swim up and down the pool. I hope there aren't too many people there - it's half term up here, so hopefully people will be at home with the kiddiwinks or on holiday and not at the health club! :D Been really good with food today as well. Hopefully it will pay off on the scales tonight... though I am not banking on that. :(

right... back to the grindstone!! :D

Sorry Bitsy I missed what I wanted to say to you. I was going to say the same as Greenbee. Remember you are with DS all day long and other kids so you do deserve a break. Most of us get to leave work behind at the weekend and while you dont necessarily have the CM kids you do still have the kids. I think that you should try to carve out some time in the week for you to be able to have complete ME time away from the house and the kids.

Claire: Most sewing machine needles are standard fit- just different types of needle for different fabrics.
Also your gum problems - disolve half a teaspoon of salt in hot water and swill around your mouth, tryimg to keep it on sore bit. Reapeat every couple of hours -Brilliant its like a Radox bath for your mouth.

Claire I think you will find that they should be pretty standard - I don;t remember ever having to buy anything specific or "sized" for a standard domestic machine.

Had a lovely few days down in Cornwall - visited the Eden Project, Padstow, Falmouth Fish Festival, the National Maritime Museum, St Ives, Truro, Penzance, The Lizard, Mousehole, and several other places! Walked our feet off, but kept it all very budget so chuffed with ourselves on that!

Food has gone a little to pot over the past few days understandably - there were some rather tasty fish & chips from Rick Stein's chippie in Padstow, several ice creams, and a few bits of clotted cream fudge as well. However, I have gone for healthier options for things like puddings - choosing fruit rather than being tempted by cake all the time, so that's good. Today I have had a roast beef roll and a mass of fruit for lunch and have ignored the bag of crisps I have with me. Tea tonight will be slow-cooked spicey pork stew and a small portion of rice, with fruit for afterwards. I'm starting to notice a little bit of difference in the waistband on some of my trousers which is a real boost after just a week!

I'll try to get a bit caught up with everyone later on - up to my eyes this week with three days of paid work plus a load of Avon stuff to get done!

Claire - try the needles and see. I know I need different ones for my singer than I do for my mum's Frister & Rossman. I think it may be because they thread differently. You'll know if they don't fit though...

Am going to ask the universe for a new back (please) as the one I have is frankly to rubbish atm. Am dosed up on painkillers which aren't killing the pain and have got a heated pad stuck to me which is making my back warm but not less painful so am feeling a bit pants. Small people are entertaining themselves mostly and were fab at church holiday club this morning. Dh should be home for tea so he can take over while I wallow in self pity for a while.

Dd passed at opticians with flying colours today - then came home and demonstrated her excellent eye sight by failing to see a milk bottle on worktop and sending it flying to smash into a zillion pieces on the floor - so "not blind, just clumsy" as an optician once said about me!!!!!!

Hello again... final check in for the day before leaving work (woo hoo!) going swimming (yay!) getting home (hoorah!) and then weighing myself (oh crud!). After weigh in and general sorting stuff out I shall be making paella with some chorizo and prawns. Yummy...!

It has been quite a good day here... considering it has been the first back from a long weekend. Have even put together a bit of scary to do list. Will feel pretty blinking marvellous to get to the bottom of that little doozy, let me tell you! :D

Hugs and positive vibes to everyone!
