Mugs - yes, we're the same as EH - door won't quite shut when they're all clean - so we just don't have them clean all at once. And DH won't let me throw away his favourite mug - even though it's chipped & has a crack all the way down **** sigh ****
Kittikins - that was silly o'clock you were on at
MG - looking forward to seeing the boudoir on Sat
Poor Diego is going to get his bits cut off today - DH is taking him & I'll pick him up but I feel so guilty - he's sitting in front of me with his happy eyes & smile wagging his tail...
Anyhow - must go shower & sort lunch for work. Bleurgh
Have a good y'all
PS - still only 1 bid on the 4 items but LOTS of watchers :j:jDebts 07/12/2021

Aw poor wee trusting Diego:o
I've checked the garden - and its still there. I've checked the boudoir - and it' still there as well :rotfl:. Good job because would hate for yesterday to have been a dream.
Plan for today is to hang the curtain rail and see if I catch the joiner opposite to shave the door a wee bit so it can get rehung.
Had a discussion last night with DS1 about what makes a book a "Classic" - we ended up agreeing that they are books that are such good stories that people keep wanting to read them and publishers keep printing them.
So in the interests of introducing him to a local writer and a Classic, "Kidnapped" by RLS is on telly this afternoon (its the one where Michael Caine has the v dodge Scots Accent but never mind). So we are going to watch the movie and then see how he gets on reading the book.
He LOVED "West Side Story" yesterday - and we have been talking about some of the themes of "Romeo and Juliet" since - I don't think he gets "fueds" because he has never seen that sort of behaviour in the family - but he is getting there.
First pot of stovies is in the slow cooker and second to follow (destined for freezer) and chick peas and white beans are soaking to be cooked up tomorrow. So slowly stashing meals in the freezer to make it and easy week when my visitors are here.
Time to get a wiggle on

Morning. Less breezy here today and the sun is shining.
Belated Happy Birthday Claire - glad you had a good day.
I wasn't around as I took dad out as a birthday treat to a stately home he has wanted to visit. We got 25% off with the English Heritage cards I bought him for his birthday last year so quite :money:.(We have visited most of the EH properties locally so needed something else)
Great news about the boudoir MG cant wait to see the piccies.
EH, you are doing really well with the Healthy Eating. I agree that this time of year is great for fruit and I can easily do my five a day in the summer.
On that note have been in the garden and have the first flower on my new strawberry plants:j
Yesterdays food a bit hit and miss. Fancied something sweet so had toast and jam for breakfast. Three bean salad for lunch, and SW pasta bolognaise for tea.Today my veg box arrives so food today will depend on what is in it - love the excitement of not knowing what will come.......

Morning Matrix. A "not feeling all that bright" Crickett is coming to you rather quietly and not very energetically from Nottinghamshire today.
Good News - My meeting this afternoon has been cancelled. Hoorah. Bad News - feel rubbish.
I felt crap when I got home yesterday (possibly due to massive sugar crash following the scarfing of sweets) so instead of exercising I went to bed for an hour. Felt much more human when I got up again, but then Hubby came home and told me he really didn't fancy Mousakka for tea, so we ended up having pizza instead. I didn't really fancy that either. At least it wasn't a takeaway pizza. That's something, I suppose.Weird thing though... If I am sitting down I feel okay, but as soon as I stand up to go and do something, I have this curious sensation of all the energy draining out of my body. It's not a headrush or anything, but I just don't feel quite right. Don't know what that is. Anyway, breakfast this morning was a skinny blueberry muffin, and a LARGE earl grey tea from Starbucks. Not sure what lunch is going to be. Will decide when I get there I think.
So, today at work I am frog crunching in a big way. Just hope I have the energy to complete it all!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
I hope you are no coming down with anything Crickett - take care of yourself.

On the bright side Crickett - it's payday!!! Whoop!0

Payday, ho um I can remember them
I'm taking DD to Primarni to get a working wardrobe today. But she should have heard "early this week" whether she has her dream job or not. I may be tempting fate by doing this shop before we have the answer......
Fingers crossed etc that she gets it0 -
Ran into a local Estate Agent who works in our Solicitors office this morning on the way to playgroup with DS2.
She is asking if we are planning on selling anytime soon - apparently houses in this area ARE STILL GOING UP:eek::eek: and she knows that I bought a bargain and that it has loads of space.
So nice to know in theory that there might be some equity in MG Manor, but don't think its on the cards for quite a while yet:D She estimates about 40K
Besides, I probably won't be eligible for another mortgage for years.
So keep to plan 1 - get the place finished, get in the students and then start chipping away stashing money in the Freedom Fund.
Thats a plan I can live with

Morning Matrix-ers
Gorgeous sunshine here and feel a bit warmer than it has been for last few days.
Got some work in the garden to complete along with some housework and then I want to have a go at making a messanger bag eek!
Can't believe it's June next week AND half term!!! Kids were hardly at school in April so it seems so wrong that they are off again so soon
OK spent enough time on MSE for now, if I linger any longer I'll be here for another hour
Positive vibes to you all and Crickett I hope you're not coming down with something xx Feel better soonI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Good morning, all.
Yesterday we had left over frittata from the previous evening for breakfast. I think we like it better cold the next day. I packed tubs of salad for lunch with grated cheese (less in mine :A) and prepared a lasagne for the evening - mince left over from previous day.
At lunch time, we met up from our separate walks round Much Wenlock in a tea shop and a bacon sandwich suddenly escaped from the menu, ricocheted round the room and ended up on a plate in front of me. Well, it would have been rude not to eat it, wouldn't it? I don't regret it.
Then we ate our salad late afternoon after scrambling round an old deserted lead mining village on the other side of Log Mynd.
Lasagna was served with an accompaniment of The Chelsea Flower Show and was scrumptious.
I've been thinking about this being fit and slim business and, like most things, there's a lot of headology involved. This research [/URL] suggests that we're just not noticing how much we are eating.
Have a good day.But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0
