Think we are done for the day.
Bed is assembled, made with Duck Egg bed linen, blankets and pretty cushions. The sofa has got matching cushions too.
Bedside tables brought in and dressed with £1.00 lamps, 10p low-energy bulbs and Maryb's lampshades - perfect. Accessorised with chunky blue candles.
Lovely lily canvas hung above the bed.
Wardrobe dragged in by lovely man from downstairs.
STILL TO DO
Hang curtain poles and curtains.
Get woven coffee tables from the attic.
Find enough hangers to put in the wardrobe.
Oooh!!! and the biggie - now that I have got superswish underlay and wool carpet I need to trim down the door so that it closes - but that might have to be a Dad job at the weekend, don'tthink I am up to hauling a pine door around.
DS1 thinks it looks like a Hotel room from the telly. Once I get the curtains up I will get a photie sorted.

EssexHebridean wrote: »Crickett of COURSE that's not going to get the better of you! You've acknowledged it was a daft thing to do, you can now move on from it - are there any changes you can make to your planned meals or snacks later through the day to make up for the lapse? If so, make them, if not then fine - carry on from now afresh. Did you go and buy the sweets or were they there waiting to cause trouble? I'm a big believer in the fact that sweets, crisps and chocolate (and cheese, for me personally) are crafty little blighters that are quite happy to lurk around the fridge or larder waiting to incite riot when they see their chance.....DON'T LET THEM WIN!
(And if this happens again, rather than opening your mouth to pop a sweet in, open it and say "everything alright chaps? There seems to be a bit of a funny atmosphere in here this morning?"
) On a far brighter note well done on your portfolio - you've been so productive on this - just goes to show all of us what can be achieved when minds are firmly set on a course! :T
Unfortunately, I bought them myself... last night before Choir practice. I should know by now thatgoing to M&S before choir practice is going to end up in me buying something that is bad for me. Oh well. I just hope this slip up hasn't nixed the good work I was doing on the eating and exercise. I had a sneaky peek on Saturday and was terribly impressed with my progress. :rotfl: I shouldn't have done that either, I suppose!Oh well. Live and learn. Onwards and downwards re weight!! :rotfl:

Happy birthday Claire and congrats on the finished boudoir MG.
Have tootles around today (amongst runs to school and back x3) and have sorted cereal and drinks cupboard and glasses and mugs cupboard. Got all the mugs out and we have 23  so am decluttering them elsewhere, even I don't drink that much tea!
Also decluttered some returns to tesco and some money from a long forgotten account and added it to wall fund.
Ds has come out of nursery with a cup of soil that he declares is going to be a strawberry - despite the label on it from his teacher which says lettuce! So that's the start of our home grown produce this year.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Counted ours :owe have forty, and that's not counting the ones that must still be in DD's room.
AND I'd "decluttered" when I was here in March and sent about 10 to the charity shop.......0 -
When His Fugliness moved in, I threw away 47 mugs. I still have quite a lot too, and I keep buying new ones.
The rule now is "if a new mug moves in, and old one has to leave" I like mugs ok!!0
