    Morning all,

That wind yesterday was scary, had to pick up/drop off my GS, and it was horrible watching trees and branches flying about! My heart goes out to the family of the young guy who was killed by a fallen tree very close to where I am. Hope everyone is safe. Is summer ever going to come??

Morning Matrix. Sorry I have been AWOL for a few days. Had a perfectly fantastic weekend (spent with bestie, her hubby and my goddaughter...my hubby came along as well!) and we had lots of laughs with a BBQ, lots of wine, and Youtube Music videos. We didn't go to bed until half past midnight, which is very, very late for me. We all slept well and woke up on Sunday with lots of smiles. We all trooped off to Chapel (which I found profoudly moving and spent most of the time silently weeping! :D That's a good thing!! :D) and then we took them all out for Lunch at a nice pub quite close by. Drove home, met by 3 cats who were very happy to see us...! Yesterday I had the day off work. I went to the funeral of a family friend... and actually, it was lovely. It was a fantastic send off for him, and made me very grateful for my own life. Then I went home, did some tidying around and a few little chores. I wanted to go into the garden and do a bit of tidying up... but when I did, I nearly got blown off my feet! So stayed in a crocheted instead. :D Then it was choir practice... and we were fab!! The concert is on Saturday evening, and I hope we haven't peaked too early! :D

Food wise... well, it would take too long to type all I have eaten. Was slightly naughty on Saturday and Sunday, but only slightly naughty!! :D Did really well yesterday... and I have just had breakie which was breakfast trifle (with apple and raspberry rather than rhubarb). Lunch is going to be pesto and chorizo tart with homegrown salad and dinner tonight is due to be Beefy Moussaka (cos Minced Lamb is too darned expensive!) with veggies of some kind. Exercise going really well. I did another 30 minutes on Friday night, and on Saturday morning. Sunday I had a day off and Monday I used the walking around town and housework as my exercise for the day. 30 minutes exercise due this evening as well. :)

right... have lots of meetings today and lots to do. So... I shall love you and leave you for now... I'll be back later! :D

OH.... And HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Lunch - homemade bottom of the fridge soup with blackeyed beans, slice of bread and hummous with tomato on top :) banana
Snack- tesco value packet of crisps (so very tiny, that's my excuse ;) ), divinely tasty raw vegan bar - cashews, dates, cocoa, ginger
Dinner - stir fry veg and left-over vegan sausage with lots of chilli sauce, nomnomnom

I'm trying hard now not to have another snack but it's 9:30pm, I don't really need one, not hungry, just feel I "should" :( Anyway, I will text OH and go up to bed to get away from the fridge!

Ah - this is exactly my "wobble point" too - for me I've put it down to part habit and part boredom, so I use distraction techniques to get round it. I find doing surveys are excellent for that as you *have* give the survey a decent bit of attention to avoid mis-answering and getting screened out, without it being anything too taxing for that time of the evening....
Well got woken up about 5 am - by SILENCE !!!! when the storm had blownitself out.

Today is shiny blue skies and hazy clouds and a gentle breeze - Icelandic ash to follow shortly.

The garden has mostly survived - some bean wigwams need to be reconstructed and there are random pots flung around whch I will get DS1 to rescue later. At least the plants are OK - but then being so far north they are still pretty tiny.

Scotlands airports are shut I hear - and after most of our bridges yesterday being shut too I fear there are a lot of people who spent last night somewhere they weren't planning. I'm pretty sure FW is home anyway so apart from her and Pyschopathbabble I hope we are all accounted for.

Apart from Isle of Lewis across to Stornoway from Ullapool pretty much none of the Western Isles ferries ran yesterday either - and as the freight ferry was cancelled on Sunday night too the Co-ops will be getting a bit bare-shelved by this point. They do rely on the Monday crossing as obviously stores are busy on the Saturday, so they *need* the Monday re-fill really. Ah well, people will be coping - fresh milk will just be in slightly short supply by now! There will be some bottles of UHT being opened I expect! :D

Just had a bowl of porridge with dried mixed fruit - and didn't even think about the sugar this time! :T Got a cuppa on the go too but will try to drink plenty of water today as well. Unsure what lunch is going to be yet - I have salad to use up so possibly a big bowl of that with some fruit to follow. Going to be another 5-a-day, day again! One thing I have noticed for the healthy eaters: A lot of you have been talking about having had a snack as though it's some sort of failure - but those "failures" really aren't! KK watch yourself with the Value crisps though - if you're taking Saturated Fat into account as much or more than calories you might be better with a slightly larger (hence more satisfying) bag of regular Tesco crisps as the SatFat is significantly lower per bag than the value ones. The trade off is 40 more calories (and a higher price tag of course) but the satfat for the value ones is double - 1.6g as opposed to 0.8g for the ordinary ones. Pickle Healthy eating should be far from :( - think of all the yummy salads, fruit etc you can enjoy! "Being on a diet" is truly :( though, so why not try looking at it as thinking more about what you put into your body, and making choices that are better for your health in the long term?

Right - I'm going to bimble about here until 9am when I will start "work" for the day - on the agenda today is some Avon stuff, a few 15 minute blitzes, getting some stuff sorted out to take camping and keeping an eye on the survey sites to get the surveys as soon as they are posted up. Also got to get my client invoice up to date and printed ready to take in tomorrow ready for the end of the month.

Claire! Happy birthday! :D :bdaycake: <Low fat, low sugar cake, obviously! Incredibly though it still tastes Mmmmmmm!

MG - I'm off sick so I'm all tucked up in bed :) Thank you for thinking of me though! MrS has to venture up to Dundee on Thursday for a wedding so I'm hoping it's all righted itself by then.
