What a busy lot you guys have been.

Back from the High School and the boys have been fed and watered.

DS1 reacted very well - the Pupil Liason Officer was very straightforward and honest, answered all hs questions and took him for a tour around all the different departments.

He was especially interested in meeting the librarian - and she is going to look out for him on his first week there .

I had a happy, chatty, smiley, laughing boy after the trip - so I am glad that we bit the bullet and asked for an early tour as I think DS1 was building this up in his head as something truly terrifying.

I have no doubt there will be many more questions over the year or so before he tranistions, but that is just the way he processes stuff.

Had a text from the carpet fitter - two lads are coming over tomorrow after work to fit the boudoir (£30 there and then :j) That will be a huge step towards my goal.

Clootie - just pop over and you can grab them again

Errrr! Have ordered a sofa bed for our spare room, due to be delivered next week. Plan was on my day off tommorrow to blitz the room ready for it.
Came home from work and they tried to deliver today and now are delivering in the morning. Have to go and do the room today now else it won't be able to go any where:eek:

Glad the visit went well MG.

Been wild here too Claire - amazingly windy with really heavy rain showers. Dd came back from her exams looking like a drowned rat. She is fair cracking through them - only 5 more to go :j.

Well productive day here today - second coat of paint on 3 of my front room walls. Now need Mr Thrifty to move two pieces of furniture so that I can get at the last wall but that is for tomorrow.

Sausages, new pots and veggies here for tea.

Good luck with the blitzing Robsmum

Ladies, I need a bit of advice: the job I'm testing for was originally advertised at £18K, but when I looked on the website for a second time, it had dropped to £15K.

It could have been a mistake, and call me cynical but I think it was done on purpose as I think there has been a fair bit of interest. I think I should bring it up and see what they say as TBH, £15 isn't much more than what I'm on at the minute, and it's for full time, and I want to rent my own place and £15K would make it difficult to do. When I guestimated how much I would need to earn to live on my own, I came up with a fugure between £18-19K.

    What do you think?

Inapickle... I'd definitely ask, it's a bit out of order to suddenly drop an advertised wage by 3k!! Just word it in a good way, which I'm rubbish at :)
