Thanks lucielle - will give that a go.
Filled 8 inherited pots with stones and a soil/compost mix - so need to work out what would be best planted in them - probably the other cherry tomatoes, chilli's, basil and maybe one of the smaller bush tomatoes.
Time to make boys a little lunch and then encourage DS1 back upstairs to tidy his room some more.

Had such fun with the boys last night. Really blessed to have lovely friends who make me laugh. Got a date later and neither me nor my hoose are very presentable. Loved the quote Cheri but am currently unshowered and wearing a grey tracksuit!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

L
worked a treat lucielle - got three hanging baskets with 3 yellow tumbler cherry toms in them planted up. They are currently sitting in one of the raised beds with coke-bottle cloches on until I am sure they are hardy for outside.
Got another variety into two of the plant pots I inherited -so cherry toms and two courgettes successfully moved outside today.
I'm thinking that the bigger tomatoes may have to go in grow-bags up against the south facing fence - I've got a few varieties to trial so any tomatoes are a bonus (knowing my luck they will ALL take and I will be drowing under tomatoes) - but I've been saving my jars so I could always make my own pasta sauce in my 18p jars.
Tomorrow I will get to the chillis and basil.
Now its time to think about tidying up for Sunday Dinner and then the weekly sheep dip for the boys.
And yes - I did get upstairs and swept, hoovered and mopped the new room so it is all ready for carpet fitter.

Afternoon Matrix-ers
Can't say I've done anything productive today (or indeed this weekend apart from ebaying a load of stuff) but me and H had some much needed couple time and a trip to Elgar Museum which we both really enjoyed. Got the chance to actually read about exhibits rather than the usual whistle stop tour that occurs when the kids are in tow  So a day together, gorgeous sunshine (and breeze), fantastic scenery........improved my mood no end
Back to earth with a bump tomorrow but am resolved to be more productive like MG. I don't really achieve as much as I ought to as I spend too much time on 'puter(posting, reading, browsing etc) It is a link to grown ups for me BUT it's also too passive and it's sitting at the computer that I do most of my snacking so if the road to getting slimmer is going to appear I need to help myself more and if that means limiting my time then that's the way it's got to be.
OO - Good luck with your marathon ebay selling, I've got watchers at the moment but no bids.
souk - my mental picture of you in my head is of a gorgeous girl who would look good in a bin bag so unshowered and grey tracksuit notwithstanding I have this vision of you still looking glamorous
Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday, our peace will soon be shattered when the kids arrive back from the babysitters aka Mum and DadI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
MG - there's no such thing as too many tomatoes. I've just made soup with the last of my frozen ones (farm shop seconds bought in bulk).0

Is it true that if you say something out loud then it comes true? How about if you start blogging about it does that work the same way?
I have been working on a new project today and I am hoping that it will help to put the final piece of the jigsaw in place by acknowledging that the end is in sight. I know that seems a bit cryptic but all I can really say out loud at the moment is................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyS_C4PeBrw
MG - I have your friends feeling, you know that Christmas feeling? I just hope that it doesn't end in tears. One Christmas me and my sister went routing for presents and we found the most beautiful jewellery box with a ballerina dancing. As I was the ballerina I was convinced it was for me. Imagine my disappointment on Christmas morning when my sister opened it! Oh fingers crossed I dont get disappointed. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
