I am allowed to work from home if I want to... but I can't do it
I am distracted by so many things, that it's just not right for me. So 99% of the time I come to work.
The only time I work from home is the two days during which I do all of my Year End journals. It's so manic in work, that for once it's actually more peaceful at home.... but I have to cable tie myself to the kitchen chair, and padlock the fridge0 -
Good morning
Woke up this morning and the kitchen was clean and tidy!! plus mine and the boys dinners laid out readySo all I had to do was tidy living/dining room and put hoover around.
Sat now having my breakfast and a cup of coffee, I'm showered dressed and even glammed myself up with makeup, My mate is coming to pick me up at 9.10 so going to spend some time with her today.
MG hope today goes well,
Crickett well done on the walkingmy leg is giving me jib terrible this week so I'm trying not to walk anywhere much, although I will have to walk home from town later. Plus go to the post office.

I have just had a phone call from marie curie magazine, the lady came accross my website on google and thought my jewellery was lovely, that the readers would love it too, only thing is they want £250 for the year
OK - I'm going to be a little brutal - don't take this the wrong way Claire, but I used to run an organisation (on a voluntary basis) which got these sorts of calls..... You DIDN'T get a call from the magazine I'm afraid, you got a call from an advertising company that works on behalf of magazines. Your Jewellery IS lovely, and the readers might WELL love it, but nobody looks at those little tiny ads in the backs of magazines I'm afraid, so I suspect your £250 would be put to far better use elsewhere! There people drive me mad because there is absolutely zero transparency in the way they operate - did she also make you aware that you would need to have the artwork for any ad professionally prepared or risk it looking utterly carp in the final version?!
Crickett I will strike you a deal. If you are prepared to join me, I will undertake here and now to "declare" my food choices daily on here complete with any slip ups as I too want to get to grips with my eating habits and hopefully lose some weight. I don't "do" scales - OH managed to break ours about 6 years ago and I was so relieved to see the back of them that they have never been replaced! On the flip side though I actually haven't gained weight in that time (know this from the fact that I am still cheerfully wearing the same jeans/trousers I was then!) - I'd just like to lose a little of the extra I am carrying around. At the beginning of August we have the Great British Beer festival that we will be working at - I know that if I was to drop a dress size in that time I would find the week so much easier so that will be my first target. What's yours then?!
Just had breakfast - Porridge with a tablespoon of mixed dried fruit and just a sprinkling of demerara sugar. Made with skimmed milk too. The good thing was I actually found it slightly too sweet so will probably not bother with the sugar when I make it tomorrow!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EH... I'm in. For me, I think my first target is to lose 7 pounds. Half a stone. I think it is going to take ages for it to leave me. It usually does. I am definitely a tortoise rather than a hare when I lose weight. Overall I have 114 pounds I want to lose (which works out at 8 stone plus 2 pounds). And even then, I would still be overweight according to BMI indices and the doctors. But I will be healthier at 11.5 stone than I am at over 19 and a half stone.
So, my breakfast was 2 tablespoons stewed rhubarb, 2 tablespoons full fat yogurt (it is more satisfying than the low fat stuff... and I am less likely to snack!) and 1 tablespoon unsweetened muesli. With 1 pint of water with a few drops of no sugar blackcurrant squash."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -

Just weighed myself. The number is MUCH bigger than I thought it was going to be. OMG. I am :mad::o:o:eek::eek: by turns.
just remember that you weighed yourself in the evening, after a day of eating and drinking. OK scales are a guide but it's not just fat it's weighing, it's blood, muscle. fluid, your evening dinner etc.
Good luck and healthy positive vibes to Crickett and EH on their soon-to-be-slim endeavour (I refuse to refer to it as weightloss......why focus on the very thing you want to get rid of)
Feeling in a funny mood this morning, like I am on the edge of having a real stropNever used to get PMT, can the mirena cause that?! I have no reason to be in a huff, H washed up, hung out the washing on the line, dried up and put away, fed the cat......really have been spoilt this morning and yet I feel this way. Hmmmm I think a bit of the lovely sunshine is in order and some music to bop around to.
Had to add a couple more frogs to my list this week, to be done before a week on Saturday so no reason why I shouldn't get it done.

Would you mind if I joined you both? I think I could do with reminding myself of what I am actually eating instead of it just going in mindlessly. If I have to write it down and tell you all then I am sure I would think twice about what I eat! Presuming you ladies don't mind me joining in with this, MG would you rather we did this somewhere else so as not to clog up your thread?0 -
Meant to say.....Fantasia where the heck are you girl?? Been missing your postsI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Ah, weight loss... I could do with being 11.5 stone too (I'd need to lose about 4 to get there).
My problems - I am very lazy, and I eat too much. I don't think I particularly eat the wrong food, but I eat a lot. I love food, I love cooking... I eat when I am hungry, bored, sad, happy, whilst cooking, between getting home from work and having dinner, after a snooze... eating is pleasure, relief, consolation and of course to relieve hunger. Eeek!
I've wondered if proper meal planning would help, but how do I do a decent (weight loss assisting) meal plan? If I had a good one, I might be able to eat more "normally" and therefore start to lose weight. Does any one know where I can get a sample one to start off... I need to do a bit of exercise too don't I... I walk more than 10 minutes and I get pains in my feet, and I can't run. Ha! (Trying not to be negative, just to post facts though)
I'd like to join in, but I am shy...!0 -

Personally, I would say, the more the merrier! But I must say, I agree with maybe posting somewhere else, rather than clogging up this thread. We could post "on the other side" I suppose...?"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
I believe there's a weigh loss thread on the other side already!
Maybe join in there? (or have I got that wrong?)
