Sending vibes Cheery, take care0

Good morning
I'm still feeling shattered, but I think it is the pain killers I'm taking as the injection is wearing off I'm back to taking more pain killers and they make me feel drowsy.
I know the feeling, Claire. I think the pain is exhausting without the tablets!! Sometimes it's best to listen to your body and rest. I'm zonked this afternoon as I'm having a particularly bad day but my goals for today will just have to wait.Well I think I have made a booboo with the squares, I've just had the square template through the post and the template gives a 1/4" seam allowance which I haven't on my squares I just measured and cut them at 4" will it make a difference? as I really don't want to waste them.
Your squares all need to be the same size or the corners won't meet up when you come to piece them all together. If you want to finish with 4in squares you need to cit them 4 1/2 in to allow for 1/4 inch seam all round. If you've already cut 4in squares they will end up 3 1/2 in after you've sewn them together (don't know whether I've explained that very well).
If you've already cut lots of 4in squares why not just go on cutting more. That way you'll end up with smaller squares but it probably won't matter and you won't waste any.
I was looking for instructions on the net - there must be some somewhere - but I couldn't find anything at first glance. I don't know whether this is any help

If you have a library near by there are lots of 'how to' books available and they may have something in the quilting section.

I did however ask her how she found my website and she said it came up on google, so that's not bad anyway lol. Wonder how many pages she had to trawl through before she found my website?
Delurking here (love the thread and all the positiveness btw:D) just to say that I googled your business name yesterday (have bought from you in the past) and your website was the first one that came up on the searchlist.:j0 -
Well, doc just rang and apparently my 'brain hormone levels are very low' :rotfl: that'd explain a lot!
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Which means my thyroid is being overenthusiastic again, pah! However, in the spirit of being positive, there are a few good points:
(1) it gives me an explanation for why I've been feeling entirely useless and grouchy and stressed the past few weeks...
(2) it means I get to go back to the hospital to see the consultant, who told me I looked like a young Liz Hurley last time :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway, they're doing me a prescription for beta blockers, which made me feel MUCH better in a matter of hours last time, so that'll tide me over until I'm back at the hospital again... <yawn> On the upside, they do tend to get you in to see the consultatnt pretty quickly...
Ah well, I guess nothing else is going to happen today At least (other than popping to get prescription), so I've got no excuse for not getting back to work! :rotfl:0 -
Susan thankyou for the help re the patchwork,I will look at the link when I have more time.
Ayesha thats good to know, although I don't think they would have had my business name.
Cheery, at least you know why you have been feeling urrgghh, hope the beta blockers work quick and your app is very soon.
I have to go to the school now, DS2 has to choose his options so the quilt will have to wait. Was starting to get somewhere as well. even if I did make a booboo.Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Well done for staying positive Cheery!
Continued positive vibes for the poorly ones among us.
Wouldn't you know it... I start applying myself... it gets interesting...and now i have to break off and go home and deal with !!!!!cats. Grr. Oh well. There is always Friday - full day devoted to it then!!

Yup!!! that would explain it very clearly hon - but it also means that you will quickly see the end of these feelings too.

Well as long as he wasn't a total Igor that could be pretty cool. Consultant Neurologists can be a funny lot - once did a seminar for them - and too a man they were the kids that sat at the back of the science class, knew all the answers and blushed if you looked at them. Don't even get me started on Brain Surgeons - talk about Messiah complexes :rotfl::rotfl:. The Endocrynologists (does that look right???) were a really funny bunch though (took me for beer n pizza:D)

Time for a cuppa and a bikkie first I should think.

Just played telephone Bingo with S*****sh Power - they phoned 3 days ago trying to get me to switch. I made the guy jump though all the hoops and finally go the details of the Unit Cost for the tarrif - then said it wasn't a good enough saving to make me quit.
So today they ring again - and low and behold they can offer me a better tarrif, and suprise, suprise it is waaaayyyy cheaper. So BG bye bye for a few months until I find a cheaper tariff again.
Its a pain - but if they would be transparent about their tariffs, then we as consumers could choose who we wanted to buy from - rather than this "second hand horse-dealing" every time. RANT OVER
Still a result I suppose.
On a brighter note - 45 beetroot planted today

Thanks
MG, he's an endocrynologist (I don't know how to spell it either :rotfl:) - never taken me for beer and a pizza though! Nice enough bloke - although at one point I nearly wallopped him - he asked what work I did, I told him and said I only worked 2 days a week, and he said 'god, that must be a pretty basic existence' (!) I'll have you know I can live perfectly happily on the income from 2 days a week of what I consider to be a very well paid job, even if my weekly salary wouldn't pay your dry cleaning bill! Grrr.
(the Liz Hurley comment came after that though, so I forgave him slightly :rotfl: :rotfl:)0
