    .

Oh and my meal suggestion is some sort of paella/ risotto dish - my grandma taught me to cook 'risotto' when I was quite young, one summer when we were on holiday in their caravan, cooking on a tiny hob.. not like proper squidgy risotto but tasty... basically soften onions, pepper and bacon in a little bit of oil, put rice in and coat it in oil, add stock and cook till rice is ready, sometimes put some cooked chicken and other veg or herbs depending on what was around.. happy memories :)

He can teach you how to make "proper squidgy risotto" - its his "house speciality"

I'd love to find a copy of David Tennants Hamlet that was on the telly a couple of years ago - it was a really interesting production.

Blown the budget!!!!! L**l has their own brand tomato and herb pasta sauce on at 18p. So I bought a fivers worth - 28 jars. Half a year of pasta and sauce, pasta bake, tomato based soups, tomatoe based stews at 1 jar a week :)

Does mean my PP Per day has gone up to 87p though :rotfl:

    Hark at me - defending a 18p per week expenditure :D It's only a game:rotfl:

ETA if I could press "thanks" more than once Cherisong I would - you have given me loads of ideas.

Ooooh, I feel a trip to Lidl coming on! Cheaper than buying a tin of tomatoes, will have to pop in tomorrow when I drop DD off for a dance rehearsal :)

My DD also makes amazing risotto, usually bottom of the fridge veggies that she carefully chops up and stirs and of course, she has a secret ingredient that she sprinkles in......magic! Sadly she's off school today with a tummy bug and is currently fast asleep on the sofa looking pale and interesting :( Thank goodness I'm already working from home due to my silly leg, so I didn't have to think on my feet about whether or not she should go in to school, we're just mooching about in our nighties down here! OH is unlikely to come over today now - can't risk him getting the tummy bug as well, darn it and I was hoping for more looking after myself.

Regarding Shakespeare - we have a set of fab books where the most popular plays are written as stories, I got it from the Book People last year but they don't sell it anymore :(http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shakespeare-Stories-Book-Box-%C2%A363-84/dp/1408313057/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1305713214&sr=1-1 I wish things like this had been around when I was first introduced to Shakespeare, they make the stories come to life and are really accessible for all ages.

Hooray for squidgy risotto - OH is the squidgy risotto expert in this house.. I think his involves lots of wine!

Just thought of another good source of educational material, though you might already know of it - http://www.apple.com/education/itunes-u/whats-on.html - you do have to install iTunes but there is some great (free) stuff on there.

Are you a downloader MG? There's plenty of stuff around... USENET, bittorrent etc... !
Just be aware that you should avoid downloading anything that breaches copyright or infringes intellectual property rights.

Interestingly i've just been reading some research that suggests that women are most likely to breach copyright for ebooks - in the past most copyright theft haas been by men (I have a fun job :D)

Glad to be of service. If you are planning a trip down there let me know and if I am down at the same time then perhaps we could meet up. Hey if enough of us go maybe we could get group discounts at the Meininger Hostel!!!! Ooooo I feel my travel agency tendencies coming out again. :)

Hi people, I am loving the thread and it's lifting me from a bit of a frustrating place at the mo. Keep it up! I am up to date and now going to pop over to the other side to re-familiarise myself!

OOHH we could have a matrix meet :) I'd be up for that :)

Well another apron finished, got more cut but need to wait for the navy blue Bias Binding to turn up so I can finish them :) No postman yet so no new material :( But I have cut the Paddington bear panel out and a few more squares from the white and multicoloured striped material I have left from the aprons :), Just need to piece them all together now for the patchwork piece, but not sure if I am going to have enough or if they are going to match.

Just stopped for dinner I had canadian steak and mushrooms.
