    Afternoon Matrix!

Headache finally gone...hoorah! Not done a great deal productive at work (tsk, tsk... that makes two days on the trot! Naughty me) but i have managed to organise Dad's belated birthday treat with my sister. You may remember that last year he was really, really sick and decided he didn't really want to celebrate his 70th birthday. Well, he does want to now!! :D Which is predictable... if a bit tricky. However... what I have managed to engineer is hubby and I are going away for hubby's birthday. We are going to extend the weekend break and book ourselves into a spa hotel close by to Mum and Dad. Then, on the Tuesday we will be available to take Dad to his chosen birthday treat. Dad did want to go to RNAS Yeovilton to the Fleet Air Arm Museum. But he might have changed his mind now. He also muttered something about Longleat as well.

Now, one of my Dad's fave tricks is to organise something and then change his mind at the last minute upsetting the apple cart for everyone else. To legislate against this, I have said that we are not going to book the tickets in advance, and if he decides he doesn't want to go, then he doesn't have to. I will get them an annual pass for a disabled person and 1 carer at Longleat. And then they can go whenever they like!! :D Logistics sorted. Going to speak to Mum about it tonight. No point speaking to Dad... he will just be difficult. :)

Have some turgid legal documents to read, so will make a start on them now. Then it is home time and chore time. Livin' life on the edger here. :D

"Snailey"- That is sooo cute! It great how kids get into these things. We have a miniature weeping blossom, and my wee GS's favourite thing now is to hide underneath the boughs - where we can't see him! That, and transferring the muck from the bed to his sandpit and vice versa! He loads up his wee digger and trundles over to the sand pit and lops in the lot, usually when I am busy doing something of course.
Sounds like a vegetable shop at yours, I am nowhere near as productive as that. Well, maybe I will get some late planting done.

As a thank you to the guy who lent me his jump leads we gave him some leek and tomato seedlings - and in return he asked if we would be interested in an Allotment - he's only on the Committee and had mentioned that DS1 was goig to be homeschooled.

The rest of Britain is in queues for Lotties and we get offered one on the street - our luck is certainly changing.

Afternoon all. Busy bee here, stopped for lunch and did a 15 minute whizz around the kitchen. Quick question for you fab homemakers. I have an oilcloth table cloth now and I love it. Problem, when taking lime pickle out of the dish last night, managed to drop some on the cloth. It seems to be stained yellow.I have scrubbed it and no way is it moving. Any tips for removing stains from oilcloth?

Hmmm if you do can you let me know as mine is stained in various places, although mine is paint and felt tip pens. It is also about 10 years old so really shouldn't complain :o

Wow how lucky are you! I'd love a lottie but sadly lack the time to devote to one. Mind you perhaps I ought to put my name down now so that in 10 years time when I finally get to the top of the list the kids will be (hopefully) less dependant ;)

Had my review with SENCO about DS at school. They are really pleased with him :T No need to go for a Statement yet as he's currently getting 15 hours in class per week as it is via a particular scheme they run. It's one of the first ones I've come out of feeling pretty good, last one made me cry (in the comfort and privacy of my home of course ;)).

DS has asked for pizza for tea so who am I to refuse such a request ;)

    MMMMM Pasta Salad,

I've just had salmon and rice. Everyone else had Beef and horseradish sausages from the farmers market and Pasta or rice. Trying to use up what is in the cupboards and freezer without having to buy more, going to have some funny meals this week I think.

Just found this link, make a bag out of a pair of jeans, DS2 has a few pairs of jeans that don't fit him, now do I make bags? or give them to cash for clothes?

Hey Dora, hope you are plodding with style as only a Matrixette could do :) Hugs if you need them.
