So glad that we are all doers on here as it makes it really interesting to see what everyones up to. It's a real window on the world for me as I dont meet crafty, academic dog lovers in real life, and if I did they probably wouldn't want to be my friends!!! X
COME ON! - you're havin a laff aren't you? (imagine that said in my best scouse accent - I slip into it from time to time) Why would anybody not want to be your friend. I would be your friend but I am not sure you would want to be too close to me and Moo when he wants to give you a big slobbery kiss - especially when you are done up in your posh frocks and shoes.
MG - no pressure on The One, we are all beautiful in our own way. But nobody could be as lovely as Robert Downey Jnr. On that note I have just decided what I am watching on my girly at home on her own weekend. Back to Back RDJ films. Starting with Only You!!Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. No Cheri, not being down on myself I just mean they'd see the heels and the dress and think 'Not my sort' and tbh I'd see their dog and their fleece and think the same!!!! Whereas on here I cant see any of you so I just have to imagine.
VERY quiet on here tonight. Hope no ones out gallivanting. Ive just looked at my bank account and Im certainly not!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Oh, sorry Souk, I wasnt meaning that you were being down on yourself it just made me laugh out loud. I have to say that I am a Jekyl and Hyde. Before I moved to the country I lived in posh frocks and heels, suits for works, accessories galore and my hair coiffed every 6 weeks. I did wear fleece and jeans with Timberland walking boots at the weekend to take the dogs to the park. Now I live in wellies and jeans, fleeces and bodywarmers. I rarely see the inside of a hairdressers and I am constantly foraging. Never thought I would be like this at all but truthfully happy than I ever was. I often look at ladies in posh frocks now and think "oh for a few days of glamour again" but I wouldnt really change anything.
I am not gallivanting either Souk. Saving pennies for bigger gallivanting further down the line. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Now i am going to treat my self to a chocolate cup cake i baked earlier!0 -
No gallivanting for me either - I'm drafting a pattern for an "infinity dress" - I've got some navy jersey and I really fancy one of these.
With a blonde tint and a fur collar - I could do Eva:D
Going to be watching "The Assassin" tonight - just "because I am worth it"

Love it Cheri. An old colleague said to me the other day 'Oh, Nike are opening a shop in Glasgow soon, why dont you go for manager?' I repled deadpan, 'I couldn't, I'd need to wear tracky bottoms'. It's not going to happen! Trinny and Susannah say that we hourglass ladies need to be a bit smarter dressed than all the other body types or we just look heftier than we are and I have to go with them on this one!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hello ladies... (imagine me swaying from side to side...!) Have had loads of wine, and "not very good food for me" food and spending interesting talking time with hubby. Hmmm. Think I might keep him. Just for a little bit!
Big change from this time last week.
I am so tired now. |Going to watch some junky tv and then go to bed for a looong sleep!Lots of love....!

Hey Crickett pass the wine
Sadly not gallivanting (that's tomorrowatlhough eating out with a pregnant friend we shan't be up to much LOL), H just come through the door and I've not long been back from tea with my mum and dad. Kids all tucked up in bed, here's to an uninterrupted night's sleep.
Another one here who wants to know what an infinity dress is <rushes off to google> ahhhhhh know I know what you're on about
Souk - it's not just pears who I think need to make the effort, us apples need to too. Especially us apple mums..........and trying to break free from the trainers, jeans and v necked t-shirt hell that has become my lifeSadly my days of 4 inch heels are over, I can't wear them to chase round after the kids and wearing them so infrequently means on a night out I am crippled after a few hours dancing. I am though currently embracing the world of platform wedges

Ooh Bitsy I love a wedge. I wonder whether to wear mine to wear tomorrow if the weather looks reasonable?
Smocky type tops are great for apples. Warehouse usually do nice ones if you wait til sale time and just team that with jeans and wedges for a more boho mum look?!'The road to a friends house is never long'0
