Well, as we are sharing eye candy, and it has given me something enjoyable to do to round off a pretty rough day - here is my swoon!
One Mr Jonny Wilkinson! (can I write my 'Scecret' cheque out for him instead of wealth please?)
start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Ooh, you're welcome to him Natsplatnat :rotfl: Not my thing at all!
I'm a bit of a sucker for long hair and ever-so-slight glamorous scruffiness really :rotfl:
Interesting points FW! I'd certainly go with the energy management not time management - at certain times of day I'm not productive at all, and others I work 3 times as fast - makes sense to concentrate tasks in the productive zone!
I reckon that guy's three rules might just work. They remind me of what Mr Daffs drummed into me while I was finishing PhD - send a decent amount of time making a huge list of everything that needs to be done to finish the phd. Then break it down into chapters, and sections of chapters. Then pick one section, and break that into tiny little mini goals. Take the list of mini goals for one section, and work ONLY on that, ignoring the bigger list, and definitely ignoring the whole thing. One tiny little bit at a time will get it done.
I suspect his list will work - because I know full well that a lot of my procrastination is related to feeling unable to act because I'm so busy focusing on *just how much* is left to do - which of course means none of it gets doneSo having a list, and just focusing on the things for the day, sounds like a good plan. I'm happy to experiment with you - will stick my details over on my thread (and in my diary!) Thanks
(I've had a GOOD day today, by the way! :j :j Mostly efficient, and pretty productive, and got to the end of a few things too :j :j)0 -
Evening all - can't believe MSE is blocked at school how annoying - I am now saving for a clever mobile phone as my current one just texts and calls and has no internet ability.
Got a call this morning to say I have a follow up appointment from hospital next week! They said it would be August or September but they have found me a slot earlier as it is really a nuisance but I'm not sure I'm psyched up for being prodded and poked so soon. Dh is being really nice and have got flowers, take away for tea and he has done food shop.
Thanks to whoever it was said about smiling at lady at work as she overdoes things to try to impress - today I was able to smile at her doing just that and nearly cried laughing when she had changed into a flourescently garish outfit for going out after school (Was going to say nearly wet myself laughing but that is too close to reality as the hospital has confirmed!)

Lovely boys, and thanks EH for that post. It would be so much easier to just fit the mould, but generally I am really greatful that I dont. And as I always say there's plenty of folk doing all that stuff so Im sure no one will mind if I just do what I fancy!
It's the weekend!!!! Shop is sooooo busy and I'm working tomorrow which will be even busier, but then off Sunday and having a spot of lunch with Flyin Fresian (woo)!
Tlaking with one of my girls today about different countries and cultures and we were agreeing that we both dislike the British live to work culture and we both found it hard when we came back to the UK from travelling as Brits in general just dont seem to DO much with their time out. So glad that we are all doers on here as it makes it really interesting to see what everyones up to. It's a real window on the world for me as I dont meet crafty, academic dog lovers in real life, and if I did they probably wouldn't want to be my friends!!!
