(((((40sm)))))))))) how sad
Must have felt rotten to be spoken to like that, but it really does sound like the problem is with her, not anything you've said or done. Sounds like she may be feeling rather inadequate, or low at least. Compassionate vibes to all of youxxx ~~~
Glad you're having a fun day Crickett! (or was that sarcasm?? :rotfl:)
I'm having a pretty productive one too - although yep, you did catch me peeking in a little (darn those little lights giving me away! :rotfl:) Mr Daffs just made pancakes for lunch :j :j :j (I LOVE pancakes) - apple and cinammon cheese one one, camembert on the other, and crunchy peanut butter and honey on the last one :T (gosh, sound right posh with those selection of cheeses! :rotfl: But the camembert was reduced to £1 in Jack Fulton's, and the other one I bought a little sliver of when I was away last weekend as a treat)
(kittikins))))) hope they sort you out soon, sounds agonising xx0 -
Sorry, I also meant to say thanks to EH for a well thought out post, (and the rest of you too). I agree - particularly when you said we absolutely do NOT want people to feel like they can't say negative things here. You're absolutely right about acknowledging what people are feeling, and steering them round to the positive action they can take. One of the reasons I love this place so much.
And yes, it is difficult to talk about things, and tempting to skirt around issue sometimesI do that in real life too...

Totally agree - although I have always loved him.

Bitsy,
You have no idea how much that has brightened my day. Especially the one of Jonny Depp. Hubby has been told that when Jonny realises the error of his ways and leaves Vanessa Paradis and comes to my door, Hubby is history. It is only right that Hubby understood this from the outset!
Special celebrations here at work... finished section 5. Starting the evidence trawl for secton 6. Doing that first, because it is by FAR the worst part. Chomping froggies, if you will.

:rotfl::rotfl: I hear you re Johnny, I mean what could he see in a girl who wore the most awful sweatshirt in 80's history LOL
Enjoy those froggies you're doing really well :TI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hello peeps - back with the boys. - Loving the eyecandy btw - but where's mine????
Crickett - I love the verb "frogged" for eating our frogs.
Cheery - I know this is going to sound mental (so what's new) - but when I have a "work form home spurt" I get myself up and organised as if I was going to the office, leave the house, walk/drive around the block and then come back into my office with my "work head" on. If I am in my work clothes / heels/ makeup I never feel quite to tempted to turn on the telly and the kettle.
Worth a try (if only to save all that travelling time)
Or the other thing I did was swap offices with another mate. We use to leave home in the morning and go to one anothers home for the day.
Does anyone think I need to see a "special" Doctor???

Honestly? With a face like that, I could put up with a lot. Even shortness.:rotfl: I need a cold shower now!!:rotfl: Oh, and if you like Johnny as Captain Jack Sparrow... my cousin is the spitting image of him. No tri-corn hat, britches and eyeliner... but the hair, the skin tone and the cheekbones.
I used to have a picture of my coz in my desk at school so my classmates would be jealous! :rotfl::D
More good news... have just completed my "work place log" for my time employed at my current employment ... and discovered that I have enough days not to worry about sending out letters to all my former employers. Cuts off a good couple of days of work. :j I am still going to include the logs of all my workplace days at all my previous employers though because I think it will show my breadth of experience. And because I have started the stinking process, so I shall finish!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440
