Netto will be selling GH Mumm champagne at £14.98 a bottle from Monday 4th Dec.
From memory they had some really nice wines in last xmas too at bargain prices - anything up to half the cost of Tesco/Sainsbury's/Asda. Stuff like Hardy's/Jacobs Creek & also a lovely Chablis for a fiver. Check out their website for offers comming up: https://www.netto.co.uk0 -
must say i have no idea what Mumm tastes like, if its any good but at that price I'm prepared to try it!!!0

I had a bottle of Mumm bought for me when I had my son, one of my friends thought it was very apt, its not too bad, I am not keen on champagne but I drank it - saying that I think I would have drunk anything after nearly a year of nothing!!!Any spelling mistakes are entirely on purpose to check you're paying attention

colmil wrote:I have viewed all of the opinions with great interest as I intend to give a case of wine each to two relatives, I have both the Mail and Sunday Times offers, and they look reasonable to me, taking into account that I don't have to go to the supermarket etc, select wines that I know notihng about, really!
I would appreciate any opinions, thanks.
Colmil.
After buying wines from all the supermarkets I found the ST wine club.
I have used the Sunday Times Wine Club for a couple of years and found them excellent value. I got a good 1st buy offer of around £44.95 for a case of 12 wines. They have continued these types of offers throughout my time with them (though I often pay £60 to £65 for a better wine). You often get useful free gifts and free wine. Every bottle has been excellent - if not it can be returned for an exchange or refund!! (you can even pay over 3 months if things are tight!) I love red wine with a bit of body and find their 15% beautiful mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I was with Sunday Express wine club before this but found their wines did not even compare .
Hope this helps.0 -
Martin, Are you sure you are not participating in viral marketing? After all if customer already gets 33.33% off equal purchases of wine and spirits on the 3 for 2 basis, then all this publicity being generated on your board is all about an extra 6.67%, the difference between 33.33% and and 40%0

Did anyone else notice that when Threshsers brought out their 3 for 2 deal, all that really happened was that the price of single bottles of wine went up by c.50%?
So the saving was only notional and seemed just designed to get people to buy 3 bottles instead of one at a time.
40% off wine there (without the three for two) deal ain't so great....0 -
I work for the brewery that has Threshers and the other outlets in its portfolio, and yes we have all received this voucher. However, our email said it was a one-per-employee offer and we had to take along our ID card, thereby only being able to use it once as they must take note of name/Employee pass number, etc (which might be difficult as my number is almost worn away)???(***thoughts ... if they don't take note of the number/name, etc., perhaps we can try it at another outlet....... definitely worth the try!).0

I think people are being a bit uncharitable here - I think this is a decent deal - thanks Martin! :money:
I wandered into the 'Bottoms up' in town when on lunch and this coupon has allowed me to buy a more expensive wine than I normally can afford!
Review to follow this evening!
