Merry Cristmas Everyone, Im off to shop at Threshers 10 bottles of wine for the price 6 : Tr0 -
I see some scumbag is trying to sell these vouchers on e bay for 99p.
How low can some people go?0 -
Nothing special, seeing as they always have 33% off if you buy three or more. The problem really tho is finding enough good wines at Thresher.0

Sheila's_Man wrote:Thanks for this, very useful. Don't forget Thresher Wines give Nectar points as well.
Sorry guys, Thresher no longer subscribe to Nectar.....so no Nectar points.HKP
Who is this super hero? Sarge? ...No. Rosemary, the telephone operator? ...No. Penry, the mild-mannered janitor? ...Could be!0 -
The T&C says not available in franchise partnerships - Threshers are selling all (if not most) of their shops to franchise now so I guess this wont be any good in a lot of shops?Any spelling mistakes are entirely on purpose to check you're paying attention0

Thresher have an odd pricing policy!
Seeing their 3 for 2 offer on a bottle of chanpagne that had £15.49 in big red letters I tried to buy 3 bottles for £31 only to be told that it would cost £39.98. How come - well the 15.49 was a promotional price and the 3 for 2 wouldn't apply. The manageress couldn't understand why I was irritated
Given that the promo price was only 25% lesss than the "Real" price the 40% discount does still offer a good deal, but not quite as good as the headline would have you believe.
15% off is still not bad, but check Sainsbury aren't doing a 25% off first before you pile in with £100s of squid.

Tesco offer on til 5th December I think as I was looking it up lastnight. There was what looks like a nice 6 bottle case of merlot at about £22 which I think I'll be purchasing with Christmas in mind of course ;-)Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

Does anyone know if I can use the voucher in "Local" shops or "Wine Rack" as well as Threshers? They're both part of the 'Threshers Group'?

After all the posts telling people how The Threshers group hike up prices compared to supermarkets I really can't believe some people are considering using this offer. To be honest I think Martin should pull this thread and start a new one because it's completely misleading.
Threshers prices are much higher than the supermarkets. Period!!! Take the 40% off and it means that on some wines you're saving a maximum of 20%. But Tesco are doing 25-50% off all wines at the moment so it really is a no brainer on this people. Especially when you add the £10 off a £50 spend or 1500 points on a £50 spend on tesco wine.
Don't buy from Threshers! Buy from Tesco!0 -
Bertie Meldrew is right. This sounds like a good deal until you realise that your Tesco bottle of Hardy's costing £4.99 is £6.99 in Threshers anyway and so you have to buy 3 for 2 (a 30% saving?) to get it for the same price as a supermarket. The 40% voucher is, in real terms just a 10% discount, therefore, and the wines in there aren't particularly staggering anyway. Wine merchants? Con merchants in this case. Don't be fooled!0
