my own experience of threshers is that they are very expensive. the 3 for 2 offers that runs all the time bring their prices down to a reasonable level and the 40% offer is merely a slightly better discount than 3 for 2

tesco are currently running 25% off ANY 6 bottles of wine or champagne. and all existing discounts are included.


yesterday bought 6 bottles of wine that had already been reduced from £7.99 to £4.99 and got the extra 25% off.

now THAT is a deal.

this just on bbc news - apparently 800,000 people have down loaded this voucher intended for hoek freinds & family only, but threshers will honour this promotion & give discount to anyone who has the voucher

I'm impressed normally by your ability to see through these things - Threshers will be drinking your health as thousands of poor sods who think they've got a good deal , overpay like mad this xmas.

the 3 for 2 offer only just makes threshers acceptable pricewise - no good for single bottles. So lose that and the saving is minimal. Shop around should remain your maxim......

As the BBC article makes clear a number of retailers are now employing these viral techniques although it is not clear whether Threshers is witting or unwitting this time.

Currently circulating in my office are vouchers for Gap, Selfridges and others
