This offer was on the national news earlier. They were saying that the voucher had been downloaded millions of times.
I really hope people check the prices elsewhere before they try to use this voucher.

I dont think much of any company who lure people with what looks like an amazing discount, when they get to the tills they find the price has come down to the same as everywhere else. It's somewhat dishonest :doh:

NO - This is not a gimic!
NO - You can't buy Spirits, Fortified Wines, Minerals, Beers, Lagers etc - Just Wine, Sparkling Wine and Champagne.

I think its a fab deal - its one of the best for a while (and I'm not just saying that coz I work there!) - just a shame its only on til the 10th! Shame I can't use it! LOL

Ok ive had a quick look on google for the top wines listed on superplonk.co.uk

if you search by retailer (threshers) it gives you the top wines. Ive listed the first couple a pages for booze between £4 and £9 for reds and whites. I think the prices are quite competitive. Other posters have said that the discount isnt really 40% as the wines are genreally more expensive than tesco's, which is true to a point but tesco's dont stock alot of the ones listed in threshers so it isnt a like for like comparrison.

the list below shows an online price comparrison which stacks up as thresher being good for most of those listed.

ITS EVEN BETTER IF YOU ADD THE 40% DISCOUNT.

here is the deal AS I SEE IT.....this is sort of logical for me.

Years ago i could get 3 bottles of californian/new world wines for £10....you know the ones, jacobs landing or whatever...

NOW i have this 40% voucher that means that i can get (surprise) 3 bottles for £5.33 x 3 = £15.99 x 40% = £9.60....

This isn't the 'fab and great' 40% offer it is made out to be, these sort of discounts are available across the channel every day, so real moneysavers should go.....

I prefer to buy from Tesco online, and use extra points codes every time. £40-60 worth of deals on a £50 spend is more of a temptation.
