The news said that this was only for staff and family discount. They are supposed to take off all the vouchers. But here's a link:

This hit the TV news yesterday - and Threshers have said that they will honour all vouchers - apparently it's been downloaded more that 800,000 times!!!! :eek:

Gonna do mine when I get back to work as my printer is broken.

This story was on BBC News last night, Threshers is about twice as expensive as tesco for example. So even with the 40% discount it works out only as cheap as tesco's regular price.

For those (like me) who don't normally use Threshers and aren't familiar with their wines you may care to use the filters at
Superplonk: Fine wine tastings, ratings and reviews online
to sort out which are the "best Buys" in whichever variety wine/fizz you prefer.
I've printed off my list to take with me as I soon get overwhelmed by the choices available.

I went to a Threshers today and got 60.00 of wine (9 bottles and 1 sparkly wine) for 16.00

We got a 20.00 Threshers gift voucher from powerhouse during the world cup when we bought our fridge and saved it for now...plus the 40% off ...sorted

I am a sceptic but if you want a message spreading what do you do you pretend it is a secret!I think this is a big marketing strategy by threshers that has paid off!!
If you wanted to advertise a discount voucher and you contacted the ten o'clock news and said please tell the nation we are having a sale would they?
Of course not but pretend it is a mistake and hey presto the whole nation knows about it!
Great idea Threshers think of the amount of people who will now dash to threshers to use their 40% voucher er 800,000 I think was mentioned before.
10 out of 10 to threshers trouble shooters I say but hey remember I am a sceptic!!

Of course it is - bulk buyers get around 40% off anyway (33% off per bottle on a 2 for 3 stylee, and then bulk discount), all this does is giove Joe Public the same access as business customers...
