Big deal, you could have virtually achieved that without any 'special' voucher any day of the week!

You're living proof that their marketing gimmick is a cracker and just the sort of person it was aimed to catch.

Ignorance is bliss so enjoy the bubbly! (mine's a Brown & Mild!!).

£30 less than the same purcahse at Tescos, £20 less than the equivical Virgin deal. I'm happy.

Something a bit odd about this thread ...

The link from Martin's email does not work, as the thread seems to have been renumbered

A couple of days ago, my post in the thread did not appear in a search of my recent posts, so after I checked the email link, I thought it the thread had been deleted. That was about 3.30 pm yesterday, and clearly I was wrong as people were posting around that time.

But the link from the email has changed from Invalid thread specified to No thread specified ...

• My partner and I spent most of yesterday checking out the wines available in local threshers on the wirral , by mid afternoon we had realized that even with 40% off there where few, if any, bargains to be had , and that unfortunatly Martin Money tips seems to have fallen for the best bit of "Viral marketing" this year , a pity the site seems to have been manipulated like this but it confirms what s often said , no such thing as a free lunch and buyer beware,

Agreed that the link doesn't work but if you select the link at the beginning of this thread it does still work. Will take the voucher to the local stores and see if there are bargains to be had. If there are great and thank you very much to this site, if there aren't thanks anyway for making me aware of some of the marketing tricks of the trade and nothing lost really - back to Tesco's etc for some bulk buying (6 bottles +) and 25% discount.
• Ahhhhhhh I can't get it to work! The page won't open with the voucher on it!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Savvy Shopper!
Its in our local paper today about this offer, Threshers are rubbing their hands together and glad of the business. The paper seems to be mocking the shoppers though as it says the 40% deal is only marginally better than Threshers current 3 for 2 offer.
