if people are daft enough not to do the maths and give there hard earned cash to threshers , then shame on them , this offer gives an extra quid off at best on three bottles . its a clever scam .search round for discount codes and go online and get 25 % off at tescos .
  • I dont understand how i've 'been had' my fave bottle of wine is £4.99, I dont buy it very often as money is tight, but last night, I went to my Local & brought 1 bottle for £3 with my voucher. Its £4.99 in all the shops, I checked tesco, morrisons, sainsburys etc & its £4.99 everywhere.

So I saved myself £1.99 & got my fave wine as a rare treat for £3, where have I 'been had'?

I dont do 3 for 2 etc as I only need 1 bottle, but even if I had it would have worked out as 32p more per bottle than if i'd brought them with my voucher, so again I dont understand the 'been had'

Just to say, and not wanting to disagree, but it's no rumour - it has happened to myself as I stated earlier, and to at least one other poster on this thread.

However, to be fair, it doesn't seem to be consistent across the country.

    :)

As a deal, for me at least, it would have been a good one if the 6 bottle rule hadn't been created.

carriel , if you had bought 3 bottles and used the discount it would come to 8.98 ish , the in store 3 for 2 offer would cost 9.98 ish , for an offer claiming such a massive discount , i dont think its worth the bother ,if you buy one bottle and get 40 off then yes its a discount , but most people would look at this and think time to stock up and save and the savings just dont add up .people on msn are trying to stop others being conned ,as some people could just see the offer , run in and grab loads and when they get home and realise the offer was not it was cracked up to be. my moneys going into my calais fund .........

Does it really matter:confused: it is an offer of 40% off wine at Threshers. It may be cheaper at Tescos but Threshers may be round the corner, whereas Tesco might be the other side of town and would involve petrol expenses and time to get there.

If we could,, we would all shop at different shops to obtain the cheapest goods but we don't because it is not convenient or practical to do so.

Use the voucher if you want to but most of all enjoy the wine from wherever you buy it:j :j :j

  • oops thanx

I typed in threshers into the search and it yielded no results, sorry its a duplicate, I guess the search facility just is a little too selective.

This promotion has made it onto the BBC News website, most likely by initially being featured in the MSE Newsletter this week :)
