I'm surprised the affected people who took Race Passion to court didn't get the sheriffs involved they seem to have more teeth than a baliff

Don't you have to have exercised all other options before using high court sheriffs?

I have had dealings regarding a conversation with Paul Lloyd at race passion,the man is a vindictive professional lier that will stop at nothing to save face,he is a cowboy of the highest magnitude at should be avoided at all cost unless you want to end up in court.his so called business is a shoddy run outfit from what can only be described as a cow shed with windows everything about this man and his company is morally wrong.his impressive website could not be further from the truth he is now offering race packages and sponsorship for riders to look more professional that what he is.His workforce consists of a criminal past and I would not trust him as far as I could throw him! PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND AVOID.

Think very, very carefully before buying. There are other suppliers out there that may well respect your status as a ‘customer’ more than Paul Lloyd.

We commissioned a VW Crafter conversion from Race Passion in September 2013. We have been disappointed on a number of counts.

The list of defects, oversights and faults are listed below. All issues were compounded by the fact that Paul Lloyd consistently did not return phone calls, did not follow up on promises made verbally and generally made the whole experience resplendent with ‘hassle’.

We did everything in our power to get things right at the outset – including a detailed written brief and a late completion penalty clause. In the end, this made no difference to the level of customer service we experienced.

1. Full service on donor vehicle claimed but not completed. Additional cost £1000.

2. Vehicle claimed to have been ‘chipped’ - false.

3. Skylights fitted incorrectly, which led to damage caused by leaking skylights. Additional cost £300.

4. Breather pipe on water tank blocked by sealant during fitting, causing damage to water tank and system. Additional cost £360.

5. Incorrect spare wheel supplied with donor vehicle. Additional cost £150.

6. Faulty drivers cab lights. Additional cost £100.

7. Garage D-rings not fitted as part of spec. Took 6 weeks to obtain D-rings, numerous phone calls etc. Additional cost £100.

8. BBQ Gas socket specified but not fitted. No compensation.

9. Microwave secured but not wired in.

10. Reversing camera fitted but faulty.

11. Safety exit cut into bulkhead not big enough for ‘human’ (small mammals perhaps) escape and therefore not complying with Health and Safety regulations.

12. Blind for bulkhead specified but not supplied/fitted.

As you can imagine, there has been a time/hassle aspect to every single fault listed here – let alone the additional cost of £1910, on top of what we spent on the vehicle. Most faults were not detectable at the time of handover, or if they were they took weeks to resolve and repeated phone calls.

Think long and hard before doing business with this individual.
