Did they really used to try that?!:rotfl:
Shouldn't laugh but I despair of the British public just rolling over and falling for scams sometimes...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yeah they did, I googled the term and came across a thread on pepipoo with scans of the letters, try it the thread is a cracker lolExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
O.k folks i will ignore these sewer rats. I will keep you informed of further letters they send me. I have just gogooled armtrac and a lot of people have been very upset in the way they operate. However i have to tell you it seems they have been to court a few times, if it comes to this for me then so be it.0

Hi all, well no coraspondance for about 6 months . I really thought that they had moved on. Last week i had post, in fact 2 letters in the last 10 days. This time from debt recovery plus ltd. Notice of intented litigation. In order to prevent court proceedings pay £130, you get the picture. Our solicitor will issue c.c proceedings, you can view a selection of ccj that we have obtained against people who have ignored our correspondence at our website www.debtrecoveryplus.co.uk. The B.P.A. code of practice states that "the courts do not look favourably on motorists who try to with hold information from operators when it has been asked for with genuine proper cause". SHOULD I CONTINUE TO INGNORE ? Thanks for you time, regards gunboat.0

come on now gunboat,,you must realise by now,,NO CHANCE OF GOING TO COURT,,its a scam full stop,,quick lesson,,,if you recieve a you PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE=this is legit,,issued by local council/police/traffic warden,,this has legal backing,, meaning its genuine.with me so far,,,,,what you have recieved is a PARKING CHARGE NOTICE,,massive difference,, not legally backed,,its an unenforceable invoice, requesting money off you, it equates to loo paper,,,if it went to court,, pigs would fly,the pope would get married, lord lucan would be there sat on shergar,,now these cowboys rely on people like you, to get scared and pay them,,,do not,,they will threaten /harass/intimidate,, so what do you do ,, oh yes ,, you know the answer,,IGNORE,full stop.nothing will /can happen to you,,now worry about the cost of christmas approaching,,ignore this lot like you would a nigerian e-mail telling you that you have won millions.0

Keep-on ignoring. Debt Recovery Plus are well known here if you want to search - Copies of their scam letters on the sticky thread.0

Who is the ticket from, exactly? I'm assuming they must be trading as a non-limited business now, because Armtrac Security Services Limited was dissolved in January 2010.0

It's getting close to xmas. They need all the money they can get.
"Intended litigation" = Ignore - they would have gone to court ages ago, if they thought they had a case
Worst case - offer them the parking charge, (plus £2.50 dvla costs) - that their machine refused to accept.0 -
Tickets issued by armtrac then passed on to debtrecovery plus. There still in business down here in cornwall.0
