HELP and advice please

Hello. I got a parking ticket back in oct 2010 in falmouth. I parked my car and tried to get a ticket but the machine kept returning my money, i walked 35ft to the next nearest machine and brought and displayed a ticket. I unloaded the kids and went on my way, on our return 1/2 hour later i had a parking ticket on my windscreen. Unknown to me i had parked in a private car park and the adjoining carpark i obtained the ticket from was a council car park . I wrote to ARMTRAC after recieving their first letter to me and i explained why i would not be paying them £60. Since then i had recieved 3 or 4 letters demanding money but i had not heard anyting for about 3 months. I thought i had got justice after not hearing from them for such a long while but today i got this from them.

They are a private parking company, you have done the right thing in ignoring them, just keep ignoring, and don't communicate with them at all, it will only make them send more letters, which debt collectors and bogus solicitors are they using out of interest?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Sorry here is the letter i recieved today. I refer to the above parking charge ticket issued at the discovery quay car park in falmouth and note £80 is still outstanding. Despite my previous letters concerning this matter you have chosen to ignore my request for payment. All the photograpic evidence relating to this matter has now been revisited and carefully scrutinised. All the issues have been conclusively confirmed beyond any reasonable dought and therefore the matter has now progressed to the final stage. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the appeals procedure is now considered closed due to your lack of cxooperation and that your file is now under the control of our legal department. We are now taking legal action against yourself to recover the unpaid charge unless we recieve your payment in 7 days. I am required to make you aware of costs when issuing a court summons. claim issue fee £35. judgement costs £25. warrent issue fee £100

I am worried that it may end up going to court.

They are talking out of their posterior, they won't take you to court, they won't be able to add those charges, they won't pass go, you won't go to jail, just ignore them.

You don't appear to believe me, try the BBC, Ann Robinson, Watchdog, do you think they would broadcast stuff that is not true?

Very, very, very few. Not ARMTRAC that I know of; most PPCs never try Court, ever. There are a few odd occasions when a PPC tries, literally once in a blue moon - if so then the motorist can get a defence from pepipoo. But there's no point worrying about that when you are only getting the usual letters that everyone gets. Been there, done that, they will give up soon.

These firms get their money from the uninformed mugs/victims who pay them, either at fake ticket stage or later when they crank up the threatograms like you are reading far too closely right now.

Really, just ignore them like you have been. Nothing will happen.:)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As stated by Coupon-mad some will very occasionally "try it on" but it's rarer than rocking horse poo ;)

It's just not worth their time, effort & money as they will never win a properly defended case!

Instead they play a percentage game....

If they issue 100 tickets & only 30% uninformed "victims" pay the original £60 that's £1800 they trouser!

Deduct 100 payments of £2.50 to the DVLA for the RK details & some money for stamps, stationary etc (say £50) & that's a nice profit of £1500 for doing very little.

The profit margins get even better if, like you, the victim writes to them giving name & address... just saved £2.50!

Even better are the peeps that pay an increased amount when they buckle after receiving the threat of court nonsense.

Ignore everything from now on but, more importantly, spread the word.... Ignore from the start, do not contact them at all... ever ;)
Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!

If you've done as suggested on here and read other threads and the stickies and you still think this point as relevant then I would suggest that you pay the PPC for your own peace of mind and ability to sleep at night.
