Has anyone managed to set 02 up on the OSF? I've unlocked the phone. The 02 card works for texts and calls but not for internet. I spoke to the guru in the shop. He went online and spent ages trying to set it up but couldn't. I've searched the net. There is a thread at Android@MoDaCo;

"Thank you for your recent handset enquiry regarding handset settings. Please find your settings details below.
Mobile Web
Please note all steps must be completed to ensure the settings are correctly configured.

Please ensure that when entering O2 into the settings that the letter O is selected and not a zero.
When entering the following information do not press Save until told to in the instructions.
Press the Menu key
Tap Settings
Tap Wireless & networks
Tap Mobile networks
Tap Access Point Names
Press the Menu key
Tap New APN
Tap Name then tap the text box and enter O2 Mobile Web then tap OK
Tap APN then tap the text box and enter mobile.o2.co.uk then tap OK
Skip past Proxy as this is preset blank
Skip past Port as this is preset blank
Tap Username then tap the text box and enter o2web then tap OK
Tap Password then tap the text box and enter password then tap OK
Skip past Server, MMSC, MMS proxy, MMS port, MMS protocol
Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 234 then tap OK
Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 10 then tap OK
Press the Menu key
Tap Save
Press the Back key
Tap the dot next to your new profile to make it the default
Press the Back key four times to return to the standby screen."

I've done all this but no joy. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Note that there are different settings for 'Pay and Go'and Contract customers.

All you need to do is go to the Mobile Guide on the O2 website, select an Android phone, click settings and then select the manual settings , taking care to type them accurately.

Every time I put my SIM (O2) in a different handset, the configuration settings are automatically sent as a text message which you save.

If that doesn't happen for some reason though, you can always text the word ACTIVE to 2020 and the configuration settings will be sent.

That'll only work for O2 approved handsets (i.e. handsets they stock) that support OTA settings and as far as I know no Android handsets do support over the air settings.

As Techhead says there'll be different settings if you're on PAYG, if you have no luck with mobile.o2.co.uk try wap.o2.co.uk .
