The phone works with calls and text on O2, so it's definitely unlocked.
Also, I am no expert, but is the internet not available via 2g as well?0 -
Tried Giffgaff sim;
status;
network 02
phone number unknown
Thanks0 -
My OSF that works with Giffgaff always says phone number unknown. But the phone works without any problem.0

Thanks, that's solved that. I've now followed all instructions but I still get "no internet connection" when I try to connect and there's no 3 g symbol. I can't get online to download anything.

I'm still puzzled why under "status, my phone number" it says "unknown" And still when I try to log onto google mail, it says "validating phone number" and then "try again later"
Thanks
You won't be able to access Orange's mobile internet site when connected to O2's network. You need to change your home page to either wap.o2.co.uk due O2 Active or m.o2.co.uk for the mobile version of the support and shop site.0 -

Thanks again Techhead, done this and pressed ok but when I tap internet it still brings up Orange home page and connection failed. The "preferred network" is blank should there be something in there? On "data connection " it says "network failed" Also under server it says "not set"
Thanks for you patience.0 -
Tap 'lnternet'
Press MENU
Tap 'More'
Tap 'Settings'
Tap 'Set Home Page'
Type in wap.o2.co.uk
Press back a few times.
In your Access Point Names, make sure that you've got several green dot next to the O2 settings.0 -
