Mine says "SAVE THE CHANGE 0.95 23/02/2007". They are very slow to do transfers at weekends. Wait until Monday.

26Feb07 BP SAVE THE CHANGE 52.95 I was starting to panic as the total looked a little bit big and was thinking they were going to decline it.

  • I've clicked to Thank You though because I hadn't thought about paying BT by Debit Card - normally pay by Direct Debit. Could not see the option to do this online: do you have to phone them to make Card payment?

One thing which may help is to switch to monthly billing. I'm on monthly billing and I can use a card 4 times in one month. It looks like the restriction of 4 uses is within each billing cycle.

Thanks - though I don't think I'll bother just for the one month of March as I'd go back to quarterly billing afterwards in any case.

Can one arrange payment by Debit Card online or does it require a phone call?
  • for people who are finding it difficult to spend on there debit card have a look at this http://www.unitedutilities.com/?OBH=338

Can anyone with experience of transaction times please confirm when it is likely Lloyds will cut off the February bonus transactions? Today? I only just got my account sorted due to a lot of mucking around by Lloyds.

Why would they cut off today? The 28th is not until Wednesday.

    Because -

use of the card today will appear on account on 27th February

sweep of the pennies to the savings account on those transactions will be done on 28 February

So it would appear that transactions on the debit card tomorrow won't be processed in terms of money to the savings account until 1 March.

It does require a phone call (0800800150) which is a pain, but it works. I forgot to add I am also using this facility with Powergen for my energy bill - so far without any problems.

    A couple of questions:-
I have signed up to this using two existing current accounts I have with loyds, currently all appears well, my rounded up 'savings' are being moved to my nominated account, which I've mentioned is also a current account. Does this mean everything is working OK or will I not get my savings matched at the end of March ?
Also, I have another two current accounts with LLoyds. Could I do the same with these two, effectively doubling my 'saving of the change' ?
    Thanks in advance.

I thought the STC payments had to go to an "eligible savings account". Is your nominated account a savings account in the eyes of LTSB or is it just a current account which you yourself regard as holding savings? Or perhaps it is a savings account from which you make BACS withdrawals?
