How do you go about paying some of your credit card bill with your debit card. Sorry if this is obvious to everyone else but I have never used my debit card to do this before and it sounds better than running around shops.

2 examples:- At Halifax you make an Online Payment which uses a debit card (£5 min payment). Egg's the best, where you can make debit card payments of £1.01.

Mine says "SAVE THE CHANGE 0.95 23/02/2007". They are very slow to do transfers at weekends. Wait until Monday.

I have just called BT customer services as I was paying off my bill in dribs and drabs with debit card for this promo and I have just been told that I can only use my debit card 4 times in quarter to make payments! How unfair is that?

How did you manage it someone. I am exhausted trying to spend just over £X each time I shop and paying for things by going a couple of times through the tills and I have only managed £15.

    Egg savings
Started off doing 3 transactions a day. This got steeped up to 6 and then finally 10.

Probably do 10 lots a day next month

Oh, and remember it takes a few days to clear before STC takes place (after doing the transfer) so it may be to narrow now to get in for February's pot of free cash

Consider switching to online statements only - ie select "Stop Paper Statements" option on Account Statement webpage"

I've clicked to Thank You though because I hadn't thought about paying BT by Debit Card - normally pay by Direct Debit. Could not see the option to do this online: do you have to phone them to make Card payment?
