  • Do you know if this is correct? I haven't made a pyment to a c/c online before.
    - yes - that's the one for Halifax. I found it somewhat unusual the first time I had to use it (for a card I closed some time ago.)
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":

    hi coupon queen,

beware with halifax cards that there is a minimum payment, the first time i got away with transactions of 1.01, but now the minimum payment is £5.01, which soon eats away at your balance.

  • Somehow I seemed to be able to open an online saver account without depositing anything. I think I just ignored the screens that asked me about direct debit details and initial deposits. So I have an online saver account with nothing in it (yet).

How did you manage it someone. I am exhausted trying to spend just over £X each time I shop and paying for things by going a couple of times through the tills and I have only managed £15.

At a guess, by making debit card deposits to an Egg Savings account, and paying off credit cards (Egg Money, Egg Card, MBNA, Morgan Stanley, etc), at £1.01 per transaction.

There are lots of ideas in this, and the other STC threads. You'd benefit from reading them. :)
  • It's very easy to get your £50.00 mind having said that by having two debit cards to use it make the 15 transactions double into 30 did all my trans in 1 week SAVE THE CHANGE 52.95.
