Everyone leave stacey21 alone. All she was doing was informing everyone of a new idea (which i actually think is a good one), and all you have done is ripped the idea apart.

She did'nt come up with it, she was just passing the info on. And M Thomson, you should be ashamed of yaself!
Im sorry but why on earth have you brought up a point made 2 months ago, long before the product was launched??

M Thompson made a sensible point regarding confidentiality agreements.
The continuing dialogue is about the scheme and ways round it and is absolutely nothing to do with stacey21.

I'm registered and can see it under "Transfers & Payments" on internet banking.

It's set up as a bill payment under the title "Save the Change", and the total change from debit card transactions that appeared on my statement today, is showing as due today, awaiting processing.

    Well spotted.

Ooh yes I can see mine lurking there too, in which case yes, the payment of £1.01 to my egg savings account is showing under stc. Is anyone else's and does anyone know pls how long normally the e bay books bought through pay pal are likely to take to show? I'm off to buy a carrot too!

Sorry but the answer is no.
You have only yourself to blame really. The Monthly saver was meant to entice new customers and the idea was to get customers to open and use current accounts. The saver is a loss leader.
You chose not to use the account so instead of berating LTSB perhaps you should be complaining to your existing bank that they have not done something similar.

No you don't... until you use your debit card...then you'll see transactions marked "save the change". But you won't see these until the day after your debit card transaction has been listed in internet banking.

not strictly true........if you go into your payments and transfers page and you see savethechange set up as a payess, then you are registered.

I only did what hundreds of others have done on here (and was recommended by this site), to open up the monthly saver and stick only a minimal amount in the current account.

No problem with that. Can you understand though the reasoning behind the decision not to issue you with a debit card?

How is everyone getting on with their purchases? Today I spent £0.25 x 3 (thorntons) , £2.16 (Tesco) and £1.08 (morrisons).

1/2 £4.01 to egg savings; £5.01 to egg money;£1.54 spent at Somerfield
2/2 £1.01 to egg savings; £1.01 to egg money
3/2 £1.01 and £2.01 to egg savings; £6.07 at HomeBargains

Only £2.44 showing as "savethechange" at the moment - this is the 2 egg ones and the Somerfield transaction of 1/2, ie 99p + 99p + 46p

    Still 4 x 99p plus 93p to come.

Should easily get to £50 this month at this rate!

Morganstanley card wouldn't accept a debit card payment as there was no negative balance. Spent £30 on shopping on that today so again a few potential £1.01 's to that too!

Here's my egg savings statement as of this morning (4/2/07) .........

Date description money in £ balance £
    04 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 1.01
    04 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 2.01
    04 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 3.01 15.08
    03 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 1.01
    03 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 2.01 9.05
    02 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 1.01 6.03
    01 Feb 2007 Card Deposit 5.01 5.02
    Account balance 15.08

(money out column removed as formatting looks silly)

It was a balance of 1p as at 31/1/07!

Also made a bill payment to morganstanley card this morning (£1.01) following a spend of £30 yesterday.
